I used a large LG OLED television for years as a monitor. I eventually ditched it for an ultrawide monitor, and I wouldn't go back.

The issue with a TV is that you sit too close to it at a desk and too much of the monitor is above your eyeline. I could roll back and recline with a controller for gaming, but for productivity it sucked.

My ultrawide is like having two 4K monitors side by side without a bezel. It fills my peripheral vision and creates a more immersive experience than sitting three feet away from a huge television.

If you have any kind of ambitions for your career, you realize you're in a dead-end job and wasting your time.
Stay for a year to build experience on paper and bounce.
