I don’t usually share personal things here, but I’ve been carrying something heavy these past couple weeks.
My dad passed away two Saturdays ago and I’m still trying to process what that means.
One of the biggest things we shared in life was the LA Galaxy. It was our “thing.” Its what we bonded over. Over 20+ years, so many memories were built around this club. My first games at the Rose Bowl. Season tickets since the day DHSP opened. Away days. Championships in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2024. We experienced all of that together.
He’s the reason I’m a fan. The reason I care as much as I do.
What I keep coming back to is how grateful I am for the timing of one of the last things we did together.
We filmed a piece about legacy, about passing something down from father to son. It was an opportunity, as a grown man, to look my father in the eyes and thank him for all of the sacrifices he made and all the love that he gave us.
My dad didn’t have a father growing up. No blueprint, no example. But somehow, he became everything I could have ever needed and more.
I love you, Dad. I’m going to miss you more than I can put into words.
You were the biggest G I knew and I know you’ll be watching with me at every game and watch party.

Diego Fagundez on what his offseason has look liked:
“When the season ended in October in LA, I went back to Austin, and of course, I took some time off, but I knew there was going to be negotiations, and that never happened.”
“At the end of the day, I just had to make sure I was ready. I was training every day. I was trying to get out there, play soccer, play indoor, whatever it was, just making sure I was ready. You never knew when a phone call was going to happen. And in the last seven days, Everything happened so fast.”
“Everything had to be lowkey and that was the most important thing. I had to make sure that I was ready. I ran a lot, I did everything I could. I was playing, and I think they wanted to see exactly where my fitness was and when I came here, they thought I was good enough.”
“I'm very happy that I made those decisions to keep training hard and keep being ready, and little by little, we're going to make sure my fitness gets to where they want it to be but I feel good right now. That's the most important.”
“If I have an opportunity on Sunday to play or sit on the bench or whatever it is, then I’ll be grateful for it.”

LAFC and Carson accounts are constantly boasting about being the BIG LA team, blah blah bla.
Neither team filled its own stadium for midweek international⚽️, they need to pipe🤫down and find something else to banter about.
LAFC drew 11k for the midweek match.
Carson drew 4k.😬
