📅 Unveiling Sikh Heritage Through Art 🎨
The much-anticipated Sikhlens 2025 Art Calendar was launched by British Deputy High Commissioner Caroline Rowett, celebrating Sikh relics from the Anglo-Sikh Virtual Museum.
🎤 The keynote on Shared Sikh Heritage between India & the UK highlighted historical connections and ongoing collaborations in Sikh storytelling.

Honoring a Legacy of Sikh Heritage
Sikhlens is deeply honored to recognize our long-time friend and mentor, Col. Perminder Randhawa, a passionate guardian of Sikh history. Our relationship with Uncleji dates back to the mid-’90s when he encouraged Sikhlens to create a documentary inspired by a rare 20-second audio recording of Mal Singh, a Punjabi soldier from World War I. That project became Prisoner’s Song, a film that highlighted the voices of Sikh soldiers who endured unimaginable hardships.
Recently, Col. Randhawa graciously hosted us at the Centre for the Study of Mid-West & Central Asia at Panjab University, Chandigarh. During this memorable visit, Sikhlens had the privilege of presenting the Sikhlens 2025 Art Calendar, a visual and historical masterpiece designed to preserve and celebrate Sikh heritage.
About the Sikhlens 2025 Art Calendar
This year’s calendar is a tribute to the Anglo-Sikh Virtual Museum, an initiative that brings to life the rich legacy of Sikh warriors, historical artifacts, and untold stories through 3D modeling and augmented reality. Each month showcases a remarkable piece of history, from battle relics to manuscripts, providing an interactive experience that allows viewers to connect with Sikh history in a unique and immersive way.
Since our initial collaboration, Sikhlens has remained connected with Col. Randhawa, who continues to inspire us with his dedication to preserving Sikh heritage. His collection of antiquarian books and rare literature on Sikh soldiers from WWI & WWII is a testament to his tireless commitment to ensuring that their sacrifices are never forgotten.
We are truly amazed by his work and grateful for his unwavering support of Sikhlens’ mission to bring Sikh stories to the world. His contributions are an invaluable treasure for future generations.
Saluting his spirit and dedication!
