Imagine having a tribe come to back you up. Probably one of the bigger reasons that tribes exist in the first place, which eventually became nation state.

For the vast majority of human existence, getting kicked out of the tribe was certain death. So you would do anything and everything to stay within your tribe, which cultivated two things: patriotism and blind support of leadership. Not showing enough of either of those might get you kicked out out of the tribe, so even if you don't like what you're seeing, you still say, go us we are awesome! and ignore what you saw and go back to your hunting and gathering or whatever.

- Police arrested the 76 year old Colonel and sent him to Luksar Jail.

- But after the park’s CCTV footage was examined, it reportedly showed Colonel Chauhan sitting quietly while the ADM, his wife, and the gunman were the ones who attacked him.

- The then District Magistrate registered an attempt to murder case against seven people, including the ADM, his wife, and son, suspended the ADM, and Colonel Chauhan was granted bail.

This is why people allege that the SC/ST Act is sometimes misused to settle personal vendettas and ruin innocent people’s lives.
