I was having a conversation with my wife earlier
One of those conversations, which one would assume was one-sided
She was talking about her life before she met me
I was listening but pretending not to be listening
It was a phone call
I was taking a walk on the cold streets of whatever i country I had found myself in
And she was in the warmth of our home with the children
I heard my daughter asking her about something and my sons bugging about another thing
I miss them, but to the work, to the work!

So she was keeping me company, and she started talking about the uncertainty that plagued her about her future after she graduated from the university and started working
It was a story she had never shared before, and I featured in it
I mean, she was asking God to show her a vision of her future, and there I was in the future, featuring as I feature now, but without a face and a name for me.

She said she saw a man surrounded by many students; he was obviously their teacher
The students all surrounded the man, asking him questions, and he was answering
Later, she saw the students fetching water and decided to join them
As she was fetching the water, she saw that the teacher was me

Hahahahahahaha!
She said she disliked me at the time because I was spiritually cocky and always acted as if I knew it all (Can't say she was right, but ladies usually hold one thing or the other against me since I was a child. So it was not a big deal)
So she called a friend and told the friend she had the corniest of dreams
She saw one guy she didn't like at all in her dream, featuring prominently like a main character in her life
She and her friend laughed it off
hahahahahahahaha!

Thank God she didn't share that thing she saw with me until now
I mean, she never even mentioned it in passing
Several years and everything else called history went by
Then she mentioned it while I was miles away taking a walk in the cold
And the timing made sense
I understood it and can accept it as true based on where I was and the timing of the message to me

You see, we are entering into a season when we will take our share of the future and begin to master it as the Lord leads us by the Holy Spirit
The future is not always crystal clear, but it becomes clearer and clearer by the day to those who stick to the Lord God, who has ordained that future and detailed it to happen according to his purpose
The Lord is careful to show us the future in blurry form
Our spirit sees it clearly and works assiduously towards it, while our soul and body struggle to catch up to the reality, even when it is staring us in the face

This is one of the mysteries of the future and why the future must be navigated with knowledge.
The Month of September is the Month of Epignosis.
We will learn how to apprehend, own, navigate and master the future
We will learn how to plan and execute in real time what would trigger the future that we plan into fulfilment
We will not be afraid to claim the sceptre we have worked hard for when our hard work brings it to us

We will walk in our preordained paths and overcome!

A Strange Encounter

I was checking into a hotel somewhere in Lagos in January 2023 at about 2 pm.
I use this hotel a lot whenever I am in Nigeria, and all the staff know me by name
As they were processing my bags through their scanning machine, I stood with one of their concierges, and we had some small talk
He asked how I was and also asked how my wife and children, who often stayed with me at the hotel, were
I replied to him that they were all fine
Suddenly, a man was standing by my right side, it was as if he appeared from nowhere, he touched my elbow and said, "Good afternoon, Brother Gbenga."
I looked at him and was a bit startled, but I recovered quickly.
I greeted the man.
He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt, a combat trousers, and a pair of trainers
He asked if he could see me for a minute
I was tempted to ask him to wait until i had checked in properly before giving him audience but I didn't want to offend him, so I excused myself from the concierge and walked with him to the seats at the reception.
As soon as I sat down, the man said, I was asked to come to this hotel and wait for you by the Lord Jesus Christ.
He gave me a message for you
He said you are about to get into one of the stormiest seasons of your life, but you should not fret because every experience he has taken you through before now was deliberately curated to build you up so that you can go through this storm without many scars.
I saw you swimming, you were making steady progress, and once every other minute, you would lift up your head to take in some air before diving right back into the pool. This was how the Lord says the issues shall be spaced.
He said you should "Be strong and trust Him much more than you have ever done before in your life."
I said, "Thank you, sir."
He said, "Starting from the month of March this year, you will begin to experience some drastic changes.
They could have all happened at once, but when I was praying, I intervened and asked the Lord to space them out because it felt to me like too much, too soon.
He said, "The foundations of trust around you will be shaken, and some will crack. Some will find their way back, and some will never look back once they part ways with you. Take this as part of the grand design for the new beginnings ahead of you."
He said, "The Lord said to tell you that you will outgrow your clothes quickly, and you will have to sew another one that is much bigger to accommodate your excess weight.
Do not fret when it is time to do this; rather, rejoice, for the Lord has predetermined in his heart to enlarge your coast and make you great. Where you are now, your eyes cannot see much because it is in another man's vision.
For you, it is as far as your eyes can see, so the Lord will take you to the place where you can have unobscured lines of sight and possess without any hindrance."
I nodded
Then he said, "You will court scandal, but I will shield you from them all, says the Lord, I will protect your inheritance and subvert the intentions of those who might want to act venomously against you. I saw many snakes spewing their venom at you, but it was as if you were wearing a hamza suit; the venom could not touch you. The Lord really loves you."
At this point, I felt a deep stirring within me.
The man was speaking to me with his eyes closed, as if he were reliving the visions he saw and the words he heard from the Lord.
I started feeling the warmth of the Holy Spirit bubbling from within my spirit, and at the same time, I felt this warm embrace all over my shoulder and my head as if I was being hugged from behind and from the front simultaneously.
I naturally do not accept prophecy from anyone outside of my fellowship as a rule, because the Bible said there are so many strange spirits that have gone forth into the world.
This was not just some random prophet, i was very much convinced he was an angel of the Lord at this point.
The man then said, "You have been praying for one of your brothers who is battling for his accommodation abroad. His wife reached out to you for prayers and support. Tell her that I have taken care of it and brought back the days of dancing and rejoicing.
He gave some other prophecies pertaining to those very close to me and shared with me intimate details that no one else could have known.
I listened with my spirit
Then he said, "By the Year of Jubilee of your ministry, the Lord said the storm would have been completely taken care of, and you would have come out of it unscathed.
The secret is to go through this trying season with thanksgiving and a heart full of joy, so that the days will not be prolonged. The more joyful you are, the weaker the strength of the storm shall be."
The Lord said you must trust in Him with all your heart.
He said you must be deliberate with your trust and you must be deliberate in the decisions you make, especially regarding leaning on the Lord for guidance and leaning on people or your own understanding.
The Lord said you believe you are very smart, but you should put your smartness aside and follow him like a sheep through this season.
The Lord says to assure you of His love!
Then the man stood up and made to leave
I followed him and asked him for his name and phone number
He smiled and said, "If the Lord wanted you to have it, He would reveal it to you the same way he revealed yours to me."
And he left.
I checked into my room with a heart full of information and revelation.
One thing I was sure of at the time was that this man was an angel.
The things he said to me began to happen in the month of March 2023
Like he said, it was as if it were deliberately timed and spaced out so that I was able to cope and adjust with every development as they came.
I give glory to God for every victory won on every side
He has the victory.
The prophecy about me gaining excess weight has also come to pass, but it was not physical weight.
I outgrew my current accommodation, and I had to move
I am moving with songs of praise and gratitude in my mouth
Rehoboth was my first house, and it held a lot of sentimental value and feelings deep in my heart.
It was a miracle house that God built for me right in the middle of Covid, and since I moved there, I have prospered beyond my wildest dreams as a minister of the gospel.
I got a message from the authorities who owned the land I built the house on to vacate the building before seventy-two hours at 3 pm on Friday.
They gave me the land to build on when I was a pastor in the denomination, and I had since then left the denomination in the pursuit of my destiny in Christ.
I am grateful to the denomination and the Lord for keeping me in this location through the most beautiful season of my life so far.
The storm came, and it was ferocious, but I landed in a wealthy place.
God is faithful unto me on every side.
I bless His Holy name.
Now, the man who gave me that message turned out not to be an angel after all.
He was a servant of God, like I am.
I got a call from a man in 2024.
The man needed my urgent intervention in a matter, and I told the man I would pray about it and get back to him.
As soon as I got off the call from the man, my phone buzzed, and it was a WhatsApp message
This man, the one who gave me the prophecy in 2023, was the one who sent me the message
He greeted me and wrote, "Tell the man who just reached out to you that the Lord said the matter before the tribunal has been sorted and he has the victory".
I checked Truecaller and discovered his identity.
I bless the Lord for sending help ahead of me to prepare me for the seasons ahead of my life.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee (Isaiah 60:1-2).

When, as a Christian, it seems like you’re under pressure at work, or there’s an unpleasant doctor’s report regarding your health, or your bank account is in red, don’t cry; don’t complain. Don’t fret or become despondent. Rather, get into your closet, and contemplate the glory of God. If it’s a financial challenge, declare that you’re the seed of Abraham. Abraham’s seed can’t be broke or poor! You’re the possessor of all things, because you’re an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ.

Times of challenges aren’t times for you to run helter-skelter, seeking help from man, no; trust in the Lord! He’s your help. If you have a financial need for example, declare, “I have all the money I require in the Name of Jesus; it comes to me by free course.” Make the declaration with faith, boldness and confidence, and it’ll be according to your word! Let nothing make you fret.
You’re called to manifest the glory of God. Despite the darkness and hardship in today’s world, you’re more than a conqueror. You’re a victor in Christ Jesus. You can never be disadvantaged. Christ in you is the hope of glory. Visualize yourself in the glory. Visualize yourself walking in the glory, carrying and manifesting the glory of God in your academics, in your job, health, family, finances, etc. Visualize the glory in your life.

The Bible talks about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:8-11).
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow.
Right after the sufferings of Christ, a life of glory ensued! He suffered so that you’d live in the glory. Therefore, live and walk in the light of your righteousness, victory, success, dominion, health and prosperity in Christ Jesus, and say “no” to defeat, failure, weakness and the down-life.

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

The verse above shows us a vital principle of faith; you’ve got to see the unseen! You should be able to visualise what you desire; see it inside first. This is important because you can’t possess what you can’t see. Any change you desire that hasn’t first taken place in your spirit, or which you haven’t yet seen on the inside, will not manifest outwardly.
Abraham, the great patriarch of faith, had to first see the vision of God’s promise to him of becoming a father of many nations (Genesis 15:5-6).
As Joshua planned to attack Jericho, the Lord said to him, “…See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor” (Joshua 6:2). Jacob, when he was being cheated by his uncle, Laban, used his imaginative power to get plain coloured lambs to reproduce streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted (read the inspiring story in Genesis 30:25-43, Genesis 31:1-13).
He tells the spiritual side of what happened in Genesis 31:10: “And it happened, at the time when the flocks conceived, that I lifted my eyes and saw in a dream, and behold, the rams which leaped upon the flocks were streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted.”
These examples show how important it is for you to have the vision of your desire with a positive attitude, for the extent of your vision is the boundary of your blessing! Your imaginative power is your creative ability; you’ve got to “see the unseen”; you’ve got to see the way God sees.
Picture yourself living in the reality of what the Word says about you. Contemplate the level of success and victory you want to attain and see yourself functioning at that level.

16 Years, IVFs, Miscarriages and Victory

Husband: At seven weeks of the pregnancy of the baby, my wife started having bleeding. We will send you the pictures.

Wife: Some of the pictures, Some of them. In our own room is a sea of blood and tissues. Everywhere you look, blood, tissues, blood in big lumps.
Blood, red, white tissues everywhere.

Husband: We called the doctor, the doctor asked her, is there tissue on the floor coming out? She said yes. Is there white substance there? She said yes.

From the sound of the the doctor's voice after that conversation, I knew. He didn't want to tell her. The babies were gone

Before we started the IVF journey, I said to the Holy Spirit this baby, this is yours. We came to Pneuma City specifically to pray for this baby.
We have tried several alternatives and IVF before, they failed, so we knew it is only God that can help us even though we were going to try IVF again and hope that this time we will become parents. After that cross over service, we came back and started the journey.

When the bleeding started, I prayed. I said to the Holy Spirit
"This thing happening now, will it glorify your name? When people hear it, will it bring glory to your name? I'm saying this. Will it glorify you? Will it bring anything to your name? I called Brother Olaitan, he prayed with me. He said something that was very profound. What are you seeing? What are you seeing? That's what is important.
I grabbed it immediately. I had that in mind before that. That word of wisdom is a confirmation of what I was telling my wife.

When the thing started, I said, keep it. That is what we want, that baby you want, see yourself having this baby in your hand.
Don't look at the blood. Concentrate on what you want. That was what I was telling her.

I don't want to start managing emotional issues. So when Brother Olaitan said, What are you seeing? Confirm what I was telling you. Then I held on to it, and that was what I kept telling my wife.

Don't change that picture. I know it's not possible. Don't go to the left or the right.
See the baby, See how you want it to be. Look at it. Concentrate on the baby you want to have. Don't change it. Don't let sight stop your confession of faith.

I now reach out to another sister: Sister Funmilayo, I felt being a woman she will be able to encourage my wife in a way I may not be able to. She encouraged my wife and helped to lift her spirit.
Then, towards the beginning of that Saturday, we now decided to go to a nearby hospital after all the bleeding

When we got to the hospital, we met the doctor, he ran a scan, and he said there was no heartbeat again, he said the ovum was blighted, and the blood was still gushing out. He said he would have commenced evacuation, but because we did IVF, maybe we should run another scan and get a second opinion.

Wife: So, on that Saturday, all the symptoms I was having disappeared, there was no symptoms again. So, when he referred us to the first time, we agreed, let's wait till Monday, so that we go to where we had the IVF. Let's just calm down, let's wait.

Husband: I kept talking, as I was speaking to her, I was also speaking to myself
On Monday, we went to the hospital where we had the IVF. We had already forwarded the pictures of the blood, the tissues to the doctor, from the countenance of the doctor, when we met him, it shows that he has given up, but maybe as a professional, he was trying to hold himself.
So, let's have a scan. When he started the scan, I was, looking at the doctor.
I saw his facial expression.
Suddenly, there was a fetal heartbeat
It was not there on Saturday night. When we went for that scan on Saturday night, there wasn't anything there. Nothing.

It was the miracle that changed everything. A miscarriage, a blighted ovum, no heartbeat then a word of faith and a word from the Lord and a heartbeat came forth.

The Holy Spirit kept this baby.

He kept her. You know, and from that day, when you look at the scan, you know, the heartbeat was strong.

I can only say glory to God.

And that's why I named her Victorious. She prevailed, she came forth out of the ashes, she is the gift of God to me and my wife after 16 years of waiting to have our own child.

Wife: From the whole experience, I have learned to focus on what I want, what I see, what I want to see, just focus on what you want, just focus on this.
Even when I was going for surgery before the IVF, it was a complicated surgery, because I've had two previous surgeries all in a bid to become a mother.
I encouraged myself in the Lord, I told myself the word of prophecy that went forth was for me, this year I will become a mother. I bless the Lord for doing it. I thank the doctors who helped us through the process and supported us through the journey.
When everything failed and all we could see was blood and tissue, the Holy Spirit preserved our hope and today we have our baby
Her names are Perach Zion, (The flower of Zion), Blossom, Chigozirim, Victorious, Chinedu.

PS: This is the testimony of Brother Pachiben Chinedu and his wife.
They got married and started trying to have children sixteen years ago.
As expected, they have faced various challenges leading to surgeries and failed IVF procedures.
Yesterday, their baby was christened and I felt it is best to share their testimony to the glory of God and to encourage others trusting the Lord to come out of the waiting room with their babies and testimonies of great joy.

Fight For Their Future

A mother called me to tell me her daughter was driving her crazy
The girl was fifteen years old and was living with her mother, stepfather, and step-siblings in the UK
There is this usual psychological distance experienced by children who were born from a previous union and now brought into a new union between their parent and a new parent

There is this usual psychological distance experienced by children who were born from a previous union and are now brought into a new union between their parents and a new parent picture as they were being raised
However, if the new parent does not accept them or treat them as his own, they see themselves as interlopers who are being tolerated and are really unwanted in the family
If their stepparent tries to discipline them or correct them, they feel he or she really has no right to do so because he or she is not their parent.
The stepparent, in most cases, would just give them some distance because he or she knows his or her labour over the stepchild would most likely go unrewarded and unappreciated

This child, who finds himself or herself as a third wheel in the family, feels unsettled in many cases, and this influences the kind of friendships and decisions they take when they get to a certain age
They begin to find a space where they could belong outside of the home provided for them by their parent
Suddenly, this young lady began to associate with white students in her class, and she learnt their ways
From sleepovers to hanging out, her mother noticed that her attitude had changed as she took on a very rebellious posture
The mother responded by grounding her
"No sleepovers, no hanging out with white friends, no phones, no internet, just study!"

She got to school and reported to the school authority that she was being abused at home
Her mother was away at the office when the social services representative visited the house to ask questions about how the young lady was being raised

They met her stepfather, who was a medical doctor and had always steered clear of interfering in all the issues relating to the young lady.
She was his daughter only by marriage, not by blood, and he had lived in the United Kingdom for many years and seen many men whose lives were ruined by their stepdaughters simply because they got too close or meddled too much in their affairs
He had promised himself he would not be a victim and had kept away from the drama between the young lady and her mother deliberately.

The social service staff was wrapping up her interview with the stepdad when the mother arrived
From the reply the man had given, the mother felt the social service staff would have concluded that he didn't care a bit about the young lady, and this might mean trouble
She persuaded the staff to stay a bit longer to provide some context and clarity to the investigation

When the interview was finally over, the social service staff advised the couple to draw the young lady closer and give her whatever she wanted
She was a UK citizen, and they are not.
She could be taken away from them if she does not stop complaining.

When the young lady returned home that day, her mother changed the rules completely
No more hanging out with white girls, no more walking home from school with her white friends.
Her mother was convinced that it was the white girls who were teaching her daughter everything she was doing.
How else could a well-behaved young lady suddenly become such a terror overnight?

In response, her daughter embarked on a hunger strike.
She suddenly lost so much weight within two weeks that the school authority had to call the attention of the social services again.
This time, they recommended that she speak with a psychiatrist, a child psychologist, a doctor, a nutritionist, and so on
The mother began to spend most of her time taking her from one hospital to another and filing reports with the social services and the school to document her efforts and establish that she loves her child and does not want the government to take the child from her

The child, on the other hand, refused to eat. Her mother knew why, and so did she.
Her mother was determined that she must be separated from her white friends if she wouldn't go bad in life, and the daughter was determined to have her freedom of association at all costs
They were both matching in stubbornness
The doctor's report was not encouraging; the weight of the young lady continued to drop drastically
Eventually, the mother informed the school authority and social services that her mother needed some attention in Africa, and she would have to travel to Africa with her daughter so that she could continue to care for her while also taking care of her mother.
She got the approval and travelled to Africa with her daughter.

When they got to her parents' house, she told her daughter she would not be returning to the UK with her but would be enrolled in a very good school in Africa at least until she completed her secondary school education.
This had been the mother's plan all along; she felt a change of environment would help her daughter reconsider her decisions and lead to a change of perspective.

A week later, the mother returned to the UK and all hell broke loose. Her daughter's white friends had gone to the school authority to report her sudden disappearance, and the school had gotten the child services department involved
They visited the family and started asking questions.
Where is the child? Who is she with? Which doctors are attending to her?
The mother provided all the details
The UK embassy sent people to verify all the provided facts by visiting the new school the young lady was enrolled in, her child psychologist, her doctor, her nutritionist, and her grandmother in Africa.

A report was made, and letters were written to the appropriate licensing agencies for both her stepfather and mother, requesting that their licenses be terminated and their jobs taken unless they produce the child whom they had maltreated by abandoning her in Africa.

At this point, the mother reached out to me.
She said she had prayed and fasted and was losing her faith
Her husband had been put under pressure by her office due to the letter from the child services department, and he was not taking it lightly, especially because he had always steered clear of the young lady
She was also under pressure and could lose her job
The childcare department had sent letters to the embassy, and could forcefully remove her daughter from Africa if they deemed that to be the best course of action
She just wanted them to drop the case.

I listened to her and felt the pains of a mother. I also understand what it takes to raise a child who is fighting her demons and willing to go toe to toe with you in resolving internal conflicts, which you know nothing about.

I counselled her not to let the issue with her daughter ruin her marriage. Her husband had also been put in an awkward position on the issue and should not be blamed for not participating enough in the discipline of raising her daughter.

Raising someone else's child is often a thankless job, especially in the course of a marriage. On graduation and wedding days, the biological parents get to steal the show, whereas he or she contributed the least in raising the child.
Most step-parents do not want to end up heartbroken and would therefore not get involved in such an emotional venture as raising a child they inherited through marriage.

We prayed.
I liked her case and her pragmatic approach to solving the problem, rather than allowing some psychiatrist to recommend treatments that could ruin the child's life in the name of trying to help.
I have seen many of such cases in the past.

In Africa, her daughter adjusted
She made new friends and ended her hunger strike
She gained weight and began to act normally
She knew she had made the right decision
She just wanted the UK authorities to allow her to raise her child the best way she could.

God answered our prayers.
We prayed on September 11, and by October 2nd, the Child Services department wrote to her stating that they had closed the case.
Her husband also wrote to the licensing agencies and was replied with a letter acknowledging his decision to put himself forward on the matter and assuring him that the case had been investigated and he had no case to answer on the matter
The case was completely over
Glory be to God.

PS: I heard devastating news yesterday. A young man whose mother reached out to me several months ago was declared dead.
When the mother reached out to me for prayers, it was for a case in a foreign country against the teenager
As we prayed, I asked the mother if it was possible for her to change the young man's environment because it seemed he was going in the direction of Balaam, son of Be'or.
The mother said she will think about it.
The young man was released from the foreign country's jail where he had languished for over a year, brought back to the old environment, and sadly, was reported dead yesterday.
I know as parents we can't always predict which direction the wind will shift regarding our children; however, if you see that the environment your child grew up in his shaping him or her in a negative way, it is always advisable to change that environment for their own good
