I got angry I didn’t take it at obvious liquidity TP.
I re-entered hoping it would get there at the exact bottom.
Greed is what stopped me from taking at TP.
Stupidity is what made me re-enter for a 20 points possibility.
I could have taken 50 points, or just be happy with BE, but instead I got -200 😣
So then I took the longs.
Again didn’t TP at obvious NY high.
Got 20pt from trail.
Thought it was going to reverse since just like in the shorts, it didn’t pass my LVN.
The shorts did not follow my rules, I pressed that button so fast, I just realized after.
Took another loss, when the original longs would have indeed made to TP.
4 days of work, vanished.
📝Lesson of the day:
Overnight big move? Base hits liquidity to liquidity.
I usually do this very well, taking profits early, but today I had greed “too little points” I thought and put it on “I usually take it too fast, I need to hold”.
Nope, today the problem wasn’t fear, was greed.
Rules on when to TP early and when to let it run is needed here.
I was asked how to overcome anxiety and fear of losing trades...
For thing we must do is to remind ourselves that we alone are the one in control of entering trades. Risk is nonexistent, until we are in a position. We must have a sound model in which we employ with our trades... not impulsive hunches or copying someone else.
We must control greed and this is by limiting the number of trades we are permitting ourselves in any given metric, e.g. - per week, day or session.
We must know our self, what causes us to go off the rails, or gives us too much of an ego driven mania. This can only be discovered in a systematic desensitization process of deleveraged executions with a single model, away from the witness and influence of anyone else.
Learning to be content with enough. As humans, we tend to covet what others have or can do. Accept the fact that you are learning to read the market well, over time.
It does not happen for everyone quickly and it is absolutely normal for you to feel as if it is taking longer than you want.
Submit to it and the time you personally require. This is self-control, not denial of success.
There are no shortcuts, no matter how anyone else markets it or promises.
"Slow is smooth, smooth is fast."

“The trustworthy person will get a rich reward, but a person who wants quick riches will get into trouble.”
Proverbs 28:20
Are you trustworthy? Or you want to get rich quick?
Only one actually gets rich 🤑
The trustworthy word actually translates more to faithful and steady.
A "steady person" is someone who is reliable, emotionally stable, and consistent in their behavior, decisions, and principles.
Are you a steady trader? Or a hasty one?
Thank you for your feedback, I understand that for some may be best to skip the prop firms. For me prop firms are worth it for the learning.
I did paper trading when I started and I was wildly successful haha when the pressure of possibility of making real money came, the results were different.
I grew up extremely risk adverse and trading is something I never thought possible for me to do.
So mentally for me in this stage, prop firms help me with putting my feet in the water, healing the wounds that made me so risk adverse and all the things that came with it that I didn’t know was with me.
Im paying my tuition, and prop firms are my controlled way to do so.
