Yes yes insults blah blah.
Anyway back to the conversation. You're wrong, they were ridiculed more than they were liked during their prime. Not Nickelback level but still high. High radio time probably didn't help, most mainstream bands get ridiculed when they played nonstop.
Obviously now they are loved, as is Nickelback, Coldplay. Probably not one direction
@chiguirii@UnknownLegendEF@JoshuaHedley Yes that's right, anyone who disagrees with your world view is egocentric.
Everyone loved fall out boy, no one made fun of Justin Bieber, everyone was head over heels with one direction.
You have multiple people here disagreeing with you, the original post has over 2,000 people agreeing with it. Despite that, you still refuse to accept that they were ridiculed in real life. Why? Because you seem to treat your own social circle as representative of the general population.
You're using sales as your own metric? That's ridiculous. That implies boy bands like one direction and Bieber were never ridiculed in real life using your logic. Which come on, they were.
@chiguirii@JoshuaHedley Fans loved them, but outside their core fanbase, they were widely mocked and ridiculed, much like Nickelback, One Direction, and Coldplay.
It wasn’t limited to online memes, it was very real in everyday life too.
@TheBabylonBibi@Timcast He was right. You need to reward companies when they do the right thing. If you keep acting like a petty little bitch, they’ll never bother catering to you.
