For top players to remain at local Pub/Priv/Cath schools, programs will have to pay them. Plain and simple. Get creative. Get 15 local businesses to do some deals. Reach out to prominent Alumni that are basketball fanatics. Give the player a percentage of the door etc.

Malick Kamara(‘28) is a Relentless Rim Attacker🏀

Kamara is a rising junior guard for @_nazmbb whom we covered during the 2026 @smartballnyc.

Kamara’s mission is to put the ball in the basket and he succeeds consistently. He puts pressure on the rim all game. He’s not the primary ball handler and doesn’t need to be. Most of his baskets in this showing came off filling the lanes in transition and finishing with a dunk or layup with either hand.

We also liked that he isn’t stagnant in half-court situations. He’s always on the move. His constant movement on one play led to an opening to the rim, where he finished through contact. When his teammates get a paint touch, he’s always cutting to the rim, which led to wide open layups.

Charlie Burke(‘30) Embraces Contact at the Rim🏀

Burke is a rising freshman guard whom we got to cover during the 2026 @iltdskillscamp.

Burke did a lot of his damage in the paint. In this showing, he got multiple paint touches using straight-line drives, where he looked to initiate contact before finishing strong at the rim. He also displayed good patience after getting his drive cut off, where he picked up his dribble, pivoted, sold the pump fake, bumped his defender to get him off balance, and then rose up for a pull-up in the mid-range.

Tyler Romeo(‘27) is a Problem Off the Bounce🏀

Romeo is a rising senior guard for @afbhshoops whom we covered during his Super 8 matchup against Nazareth HS @smartballnyc.

During this showing, Romeo displayed his ability to relentlessly create paint touches off the bounce whenever he wanted. He’s a nightmare for opponents in iso situations as he likes to use hesitation dribbles, pivots, and spin moves to get by his defender.

Once in the lane, he has the strength and concentration to finish a variety of layups even through contact. He also knows how to utilize the backboard, using different angles to bank in tough finishes.

He also showed his ability to make shots away from the basket, knocking down a mid-range pull-up off the dribble. Romeo even connected on a three through contact, showing his ability to make tough shots.

Jasiah Narcisse(‘29) Makes an Impact From End to End🏀

Narcisse is a rising sophomore guard for @_nazmbb whom we got to cover during the 2026 @SMARTBALLNYC

Narcisse is a big guard who makes his team’s offense flow. He impacts the game on the offensive end in a multitude of ways. He likes to get in the paint by using a change of pace and a right to left crossover where he finishes strong at the rim.

He also displayed the ability to make shots off the bounce multiple times in the mid-range. What stood out most to us was his activity from end to end. He defended smaller guards, had active hands, and jumped the passing lanes, causing multiple turnovers where he quickly led the fast break and found his teammates for dunks or layups.

Nazareth HS Survives Late Push to Beat Achievement First HS 67-65🏀

During the Elite 8 @SMARTBALLNYC we covered a matchup that started off lopsided but ended up becoming a ball game late in the fourth between @_nazmbb and @afbhshoops.

From the tip, it seemed Nazareth’s goal was to use their athleticism to lock down defensively and get out in transition. They would do that to perfection in the first three quarters. They were jumping the passing lanes and quickly pushing the ball in the open floor where they finished with a layup or dunk. They ran up the scoreboard and controlled most of the game until Achievement First made its run late in the fourth.

Achievement First crawled their way back into the game by getting in the lane and finishing around the rim. They also finished through contact and capitalized at the line. They were able to cut the lead down to two, but being careless with the ball would cost them the game. Nazareth came out with the win 67-65.

6’5 Jordan Allman (‘30) Plays With a High Motor on Both Ends🏀

Allman is an incoming freshman wing for @MensSfp whom we covered during the 2026 @iltdskillscamp.

Allman is a high-energy wing who had his fingerprints all over the game we covered. A lot of his damage was done in the open floor. He was usually the first to get down the court in transition, making him a reliable target for his teammates on hit-ahead passes, where he finished above the rim off one foot or both.

He also showed effort on the defensive end. He blocked multiple shots and even showed his willingness to defend smaller guards. Even when he was beaten defensively, he recovered and still managed to block the shot.

St Peter’s Prep Pulls Away for a 62-52 Win Against Holy Cross🏀

We were in Hackensack, NJ for the @newjerseylegacy Get In/Get Out showcase and covered a great matchup between @holycrosshoops and @sppbasketball_

Both teams came out ready to play from the tip-off. Holy Cross had their shot falling early from beyond the arc and St Peter’s Prep had their inside-out game clicking. Neither team could really create any distance and if so it wasn’t for long. It was obvious this game would come down to who took care of the ball down the stretch. 

The game started to open up in the 4th quarter, when St Peter’s Prep, led by their sophomore guard Dallas Baldwin ‘29 took advantage of Holy Cross’s lack of a shot-blocking presence. He would put a relentless amount of pressure on the rim, where he finished layups and even converting a few And-1s. 

Holy Cross also began to get sloppy with the ball and St Peter’s Prep took advantage by forcing turnovers and finishing in transition. They pulled away for a 62-52 win.
