Introducing the CPWA NPWW Award winners! First up, our first time entries:
Community under 25,000 – City of Thompson, Manitoba (represented by Steve Blayney)
Community over 25,000 – @CityOfPoCo, British Columbia (represented by Dave Kidd & Mitchell Guest)
I’ll be up early tomorrow to join one of our skilled and hardworking city workers for a snow plow ride along. Looking forward to getting a firsthand look at the work that goes into keeping our roads clear so residents can get to where they need to be!
A very big announcement to make today!
The @cityofpoco, in partnership with @1BCSoccer, @pocosoccer, and in cooperation with @pocosportsalli1, is announcing a vision to create a new dynamic soccer and community hub at Gates Park for both local use & world class competitive play.
Friendly reminder while using our parks, trails & outdoor spaces, help keep these areas clean & safe for everyone.
All parks & trails have garbage & recycling bins to sort it right! 🗑️♻️ Thanks for putting it in the bin!

I’m very proud of the investments we’re making to deliver new neighbourhood playgrounds. It’s all part of making Port Coquitlam the best place to raise a family.
Pinemont & Wellington are now open and ready for the kids to enjoy!Chelsea, Elks & Imperial open next week!
On behalf of @CityofPoCo & people across our country and around the world, it was humbling to lay flowers at the resting place of Terry Fox. Our hometown hero passed 40 years ago today, but this young man from PoCo continues to inspire, to comfort, to strengthen and to heal.
Exciting news to share this morning! Food trucks, live music, cornhole, games, children’s play features and much more - all for our residents to enjoy in a new and improved, bigger and better Shaughnessy St pop up park!
Look for new I 💙 PoCo kids artwork on signs in parks/trails for a chance to win one of five $50 gift cards to a PoCo business of your choice!
To enter, take photos w/ 5 signs, post on social media, tag city using #ilovepoco#portcoquitlam before May 31! https://t.co/BYozzxByvj
