We’ve been putting Gemini 3 Pro through real design tests in Figma Make: holiday projects, extreme aesthetic swings, and system-level tasks. It handled the fundamentals reliably and showed meaningful range in layout, style, and interaction.
The pattern is clear: AI widens the canvas for designers. The more fluent the model, the more space there is to explore—and the more essential the designer’s vision and taste.
You can try Gemini 3 Pro under Figma Make Settings → Experimental Models. Read more in our blog: https://t.co/1nBiJycKKD
Tried building our theming logic in Figma Make and Cursor.
Make: 2 hours, looks great — perfect for showing ideas.
Cursor: 20 minutes, built on real logic with W3C tokens + Style Dictionary.
One shows what it could be, the other shows how it works.
I’m happy with the latter.
🚀 Built this Light/Dark Dashboard in @figma for Healthcare CRM using Variables for different breakpoints.
Giving away the Figma file + Tutorial (with all variables set up). Comment 'Figma' & I will DM you the link (Must be follow so I can DM)
Stoked that Figma is shipping native design tokens import/export using the DTCG format! One more step in standardizing design tokens across tools. Figma's announcement: https://t.co/o7hw3rJxMz

Made a macOS app at work this week just to try something out. Made it purely with Claude Code and a handful of manual tweaks.
There’s no excuse to not be prototyping in native material these days.
Schema was big.
Slots is great — but MCP Server changes everything.
Designers writing real logic, devs getting context straight from Figma.
Closing the gap between design <> engineering ™
