BREAKING: MAGA ignorance hits shocking new low as a Florida school district bans dictionaries from library shelves as part of deranged Republican book-banning efforts.

Maybe they're afraid that students will look up the definition of "fascist" and see a photo of Donald Trump...

Schools in Escambia County have removed some 2,800 books in an effort to comply with the state's deeply controversial HB1069 bill.

Included in these removed books are the American Heritage Children’s Dictionary, Webster’s Dictionary for Students, and Merriam-Webster’s Elementary Dictionary.

Reportedly, right-wingers are furious that the books provide definitions for words like "sex." The Republican legislation exerts strict theocratic control over all sexual education materials.

Advocacy group PEN America is now taking the court to district over the decision. Absurdly, MAGA Governor Ron DeSantis has insisted that the accusations of book-banning are part of a "hoax."
