🇦🇪🛫🇺🇸 The U.S. State Department has ordered the departure of non-emergency government employees and their family members from its missions in Saudi Arabia, citing escalating Houthi attacks on civilian airports and infrastructure.

State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott stated the order applies to Saudi Arabia only. U.S. missions in Riyadh and other cities remain open for consular services. Earlier reports of a broader Gulf-wide withdrawal were described by the department as inaccurate, though some additional family departures from other posts have been reported by diplomatic sources.

In the UAE, airports including Dubai continue to face flight delays and cancellations linked to regional tensions and Saudi airport disruptions. No independent confirmation of large-scale panic or mass departures from Dubai has been issued by airport authorities or major outlets.

Separately, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will host foreign ministers from Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany in Istanbul on Friday. The meeting, the first in a combined R4+E3 format, is expected to address the Palestinian issue, the Strait of Hormuz, Yemen, and efforts related to the Russia-Ukraine war. The United States is not participating.

The developments reflect ongoing regional security pressures from Houthi operations and broader conflict dynamics.
