I think there needs to be a balance when one views the End of the age.

While we should be watching and awaiting the Lord, seeing things through a Biblical lens, serving, and sharing the truth…

We are also called to occupy.

Share the Gospel. Pray for others. Reflect Christ in everything you do. Love people well. Have meaningful fellowship. Be faithful in the work God has given you.

It’s okay to make plans, pursue your calling, and build a life that glorifies Him…all while living with the expectation that Christ could return at any moment.

And if you're saved you should want to be obedient to God meaning through your faith by grace you of course follow the 10 commandments, the moral law. Good works. Or fruits of the Spirit.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 for caught up is translated from the Greek word ‘Harpazo’ and the Latin ‘Rapturo.’ That is the word from which we get ‘Rapture.’ And in Hebrew נָצַל (nāṣal) means “deliverance, to deliver, to snatch away, take away, to rescue.”
