While my eldest brother and I take our seats daily this week before Hindu priests, in the sacred sequence of funeral rites during the 13-day mourning period, I am happy for the middle one as he takes a seat in his Batmobile of a car at a legendary race track.

Atheist I may be, yet I like to believe that even as we guide our mother's soul into a supposed afterlife, her love, memories, and words of wisdom will continue to guide and champion us in all that we do.

I have long loved the admirable @ARRahman's signature line in times of glory:
