Ακόμη και τώρα που έφεραν την Κύπρο σε τόσο δεινή θέση με τον μηχανισμό διαπλοκής που έστησαν στο Προεδρικό, αντί ο Πρόεδρος να δει πώς θα αντιμετωπίσει αυτή την τραγική κατάσταση και να λάβει ουσιαστικές αποφάσεις απόδοσης ευθυνών και αποτροπής επανάληψης, η πραγματική έγνοια του είναι οι βουλευτικές εκλογές και στο βάθος οι προεδρικές.
Αυτό είναι που πραγματικά τον φοβίζει: η κρίση των πολιτών. Το αν θα έχουν πλειοψηφία στη Βουλή το ΕΛΑΜ, το ΔΗΚΟ και ο ΔΗΣΥ και αν τα κόμματα της συγκυβέρνησης θα καταποντιστούν.
Γιατί αντιλαμβάνεται ότι το πραγματικό διακύβευμα στην κοινωνία είναι ξεκάθαρο:
α) από τη μία, το σάπιο σύστη��α της αδιαφάνειας και της διαφθοράς,
β) από την άλλη, η μάχη για κάθαρση, διαφάνεια και για το τέλος της διαπλοκής.
