This morning I’m sat in a hairdresser’s chair at 7:30am before most people have even started their day.
Why?
Because I mentioned I had an important event this evening and my lovely hairdresser, despite having somewhere else she needed to be later today, opened up early and fitted me in.
And honestly, it got me thinking about something…
Britain has always been described as a nation of shopkeepers and small businesses — and thank goodness for that.
Because small businesses don’t just provide services.
They provide care, flexibility, loyalty and genuine human relationships.
Whether it’s your local hairdresser, café, florist, pub, butcher, market stall holder or independent retailer, these are the people who go above and beyond for their customers every single day.
Large corporations may have call centres and automated systems, but small businesses still understand the value of personal service and actually caring about people.
They remember your name.
They remember your children.
They squeeze you in when you’re desperate.
They stay late.
They open early.
And they do it because they genuinely care about their customers and their reputation in the community.
Small businesses are not just businesses.
They are the backbone of our towns, our high streets and our communities.
And I honestly think they deserve far more support and appreciation than they currently get.

Talented broadcaster @andrejpwalker is with co-presenter @virtualash discuss with @mrcharlesamos as a police officer the worst thing they can ever be accused of is racism. It leads to two-tier justice.
Attached below is Andre's video on the murder of Henry Nowak. 🔽🔽🔽🔽
JUST NOW: Rupert Lowe, Great Yarmouth MP and leader of Restore Britain, has posted that "JD Vance speaks for far more British people than Keir Starmer does."
The comment follows remarks by Vice President Vance linking the stabbing murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak in Southampton to mass migration and what he described as elite “self-hatred” in Europe.
In response, Downing Street accused the United States of “interfering in our democracy.”
'Starmer has literally just ignored me.'
Rhiannon Whyte's mother says she has nothing left to do other than to reach out to Elon Musk and Donald Trump to try and find justice for her daughter, who was murdered by an illegal migrant.
🚨 ANDY BURNHAM EXPOSED 🚨
Conservative candidate Mike Winstanley absolutely rips into Andy Burnham.
Not long ago, Burnham was telling everyone that being Mayor of Manchester was the greatest job on earth. Now he’s triggering a by-election so he can chase his next political ambition and make a run for No. 10.
Let’s call it what it is: you’re not putting the people of Makerfield first — you’re putting your own career and your party first.
The people of Makerfield deserve representation, not a stepping stone for another politician’s ambitions. 🇬🇧
🚨 JUST IN: Rep. Chip Roy is EXPOSING the threat of Islam to America, saying in just the past several weeks, there were FOUR Islamic terror attacks
"For too long, politicians, scared of being called Islamophobic, have failed to stop the spread of Sharia law and refused to put an end to the ceaseless immigration from the world of people who adhere to it."
"Our lack of adequate response to stopping Islamist ideology in its tracks, our nation remains vulnerable to Sharia law and potential terrorist attacks it could wreak!"
As we mark the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we remember all those who sacrificed, including the 98 fallen heroes whose names were recently added to the British Memorial in Normandy.
We will remember them.
A 16 year old girl had her national flag stolen right out of her hands from a police officer.
This is wild this is happening. Take your country back from these tyrants!
D-Day I personally think these are empty words from Keir! Our brave British soldiers changed the course of history and we should never forget their sacrifice ❤️

🚨 A LIBERAL IS A LIBERAL!
🚨 BREAKING: Liberal MPs are exposing Mark Carney as a tyrant.
The Toronto Star just dropped the mask.
Multiple Grit MPs say Carney yells at them in caucus, lashes out when they bring concerns from their ridings, and has flat-out told them: he doesn’t want to hear problems — only solutions.
Specific cases:
• Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw MP Jaime Battiste got a stunning rebuke for raising concerns about changes to the Indian Act.
• Winnipeg MP Doug Eyolfson (a physician) was told NOT to come to him with worries about Alberta’s two-tier healthcare system.
• Laval MP Angelo Iacono and others left shaken after trying to do their jobs.
Carney treats Parliament like his personal boardroom. He already manufactured a majority against every democratic convention to ram his agenda through. Now he wants zero dissent — even from his own MPs.
This isn’t leadership.
This is authoritarian control in a $5,000 suit.
Elected MPs are supposed to represent Canadians, not get screamed at for raising legitimate concerns.
If he can’t handle pushback from his own caucus, what do you think he’ll do to the rest of the country?
The mask is off.
In 2006, polling showed that 68% of Muslims in Britain think it should be a criminal offence to insult Islam.
So far, Britain has chosen a path of appeasement and capitulation to Islamic blasphemy laws.
Since Starmer came to power, cases received by the Free Speech Union of people being penalised for criticising Islam or Muslim cultural practices have increased by a multiple of 4.
This was before the 'anti Muslim hostility definition' was introduced by Labour. All 5 members, hand picked by Labour, of the working group that came up with the definition have links to Islamist organisations.
The Henry Nowak case has exposed a much deeper problem than police failure. The question is not simply why common sense disappeared at the scene. The question is who built the system that trained institutions to behave this way.
The U.S. State Department has released powerful statements condemning Keir Starmer’s United Kingdom.
They described the situation as a glaring symptom of “civilizational decline” and stated that these policing methods must be rejected across the entire West.
Do you agree?
⚡🇬🇧🇺🇸 JD Vance: “Defending your culture isn’t radical. It’s reasonable
To everybody in the UK who rejects that idea, I’d encourage them to just keep on going
It’s okay to want to defend your culture. It’s okay to want to live in a safe neighborhood. It isn’t radical.”
Salma Yaqoob’s car was reportedly torched outside her Birmingham home, and police are investigating it as arson. Her politics are well known, Respect, Stop the War, Labour circles, Green campaigning and pro-Palestine activism, but the motive has not been confirmed. That distinction matters.
