How do we not know our strongest formation or starting 11. Had a whole pre-season, retained some big players and spent decent money. Should be starting most games on the front foot but another slow start. Painful.

If you’re gonna sell an academy player like Freddie Potts and spend 22 million on a replacement, we should be able to see more of a difference than that. And if Bowen’s on the pitch he should be taking pens, corners, free-kicks. Stick him on throw-ins too while you’re at it.

My son was 3 when we won a European trophy and sold his fav player Declan Rice. 4 when we signed Kudus. 5 when we sold Kudus, Summerville became his fav. 6, relegated and Summerville left. Reckon this is the year he sees us win most games and go up. Some character building that.
