@DanNeidle The fact that he was briefly Chancellor and therefore the boss of HMRC with whom he was negotiating is of no interest to the public whatsoever, is it? Move along, nothing to see.
I’d forgotten how corrupt the Tories were and it’s only been one long year since.
@tcanham459 Debt/GDP, PSNCR. Every metric huh? Even the GDP you claim is great has been wildly volatile and therefore subject to future revisions and even then is only likely to come in at 1.2-1.4%, which is half trans growth, so hardly great.
@RpsAgainstTrump@grok Unless the imports are reduced in price by the exact amt of the tariff there is a tax on the American consumer. How much of the tariff is borne by the importing entity depends on numerous factors, mostly elasticity of demand. There is definitely a tax here, just how much?
@Adams57G@Eyeswideopen69 You utter moron. I live in Greece. Explain how someone post Brexit can do more than 90 in 180 days here. Good luck. Irish passports don’t count as they are EU.
@NorthBritannia@KirstieMAllsopp A new city? Most immigrants in a year was c. 45k. Reading is 250k plus and still not a city. You are somewhat wide off the mark.
@mattletiss7 No national debt 60 years ago, are you having a fucking laugh? Did we pay off WW1 and 2 with apples or something you clown? Post WW2, debt was 100% of GDP, a figure we hit again recently. That was paid off in full in a few decades?
