When it comes to the overturning of Roe, "they" did not do this, meaning the "religious right," although pro-lifers of all stripes should be thanked for their prayers & actions. Instead, SCOTUS ruled against Roe, just as SCOTUS previously ruled for Roe. This was a legal issue.
