We came to a few realizations during that time. First, a plethora of digital devices in the home is helping to alleviate the need for public tech centers. Second, Equalitech has decided to take a step back and refocus on what we can do locally to best serve our community!

And then we pivoted into a new mission of providing basic digital skills to adults in English and Spanish. As with most organizations, COVID-19 forced us to shift all services online. We held on to GVTC - our public facing facility- for most of the lockdown 👊🏽

For almost five years now, Equalitech has strived to bridge the digital divide in the Goleta community. We accomplished our original mission of providing free access to computer and high speed WiFi by successfully opening the Goleta Valley Tech Center!!!!
