Day 6 building my web design business.
Tracked outreach, connected with coaches & consultants, got a referral partner, had more sales conversations, and started tracking my reply rate.
Also testing new conversion + design choices.
This is what happens when a website stops introducing you and starts positioning you.
Clearer offer.
Stronger headline.
Better hierarchy.
Obvious next step.
You shouldn’t need a 30-minute call just to explain what you do.
This coach’s site felt more like a brochure than a sales page.
I fixed the visual hierarchy, oversized nav, CTA, image placement, and rewrote the hero around the pain + outcome.
The goal: make the value obvious before they ever book a call.
@hypertrophydad_ Looking back in retrospect makes you appreciate the hard times more. You start to realize that without some of those experiences, a part of who you are today would be missing.
@_AshleyRichmond Being healthy was always the goal, looking good is just a bonus. What’s the point of looking fit if you can’t actually say you’re healthy?
You know a website upgrade worked when your client says:
“People finally get what I do before they book a call.”
That’s the part I care about.
Not whether the new site looks better.
Whether the business feels easier to run because of it.
@sam_gzstrength That’s a pretty intense lineup but I like how it’s built around movements that actually give you a strong foundation instead of just chasing a pump.
@Nick_Crays Exactly without the right foundation, all that effort just leaks out like water from a bucket with holes. The people who get real results understand what actually drives growth, not just how hard to work.
That’s what I mean by a sales engine.
Not a pretty website sitting there waiting for you to send people to it.
A site that helps qualify the traffic, build trust, explain the offer and get serious prospects to the next step.
DM me ENGINE if yours isn’t doing that.
You hop on a clarity call and hear:
“So what do you actually do?”
After spending $5,000 on a website.
That’s a problem.
Your site should be answering that before the call even starts.
Someone should be able to land on your site from X, TikTok, or a referral and quickly understand:
“Yep. This is for me.”
They should see the problem you solve, your proof, your offer, and what happens next.
Before they ever DM you.
