I remember seeing people hanging on2 windows pleading 2be rescued. I screamed 2my family, “Someone has to save them!They are alive, save them!” When I saw the fire behind them, the survivors jumped. Some were holding hands 💔 . I was still screaming(as if that was going to help)

Port Authority Police Officer Christopher Amoroso, already bleeding from a head injury caused by falling debris, guides Suman Dhamija away from the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

After getting her to safety, he turned around and went back in to help others.

Minutes later, he perished when the South Tower collapsed.

For two decades, Suman was unidentified until she came forward.

She has said he told her, “Ma’am, relax. We are here to help.” She believes she would not have made it without him.

Never forget.

On September 11, 2001, firefighters, police officers, EMS, and other first responders ran toward danger while so many others were trying to escape it.

We remember their courage, honor their sacrifice, and keep the memory of every life lost close to our hearts. We will never forget. 🇺🇸���️

The FDNY added 36 names to the World Trade Center Memorial Wall on Wednesday at FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn, honoring the members who died over the past year from illnesses related to their work in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center.

As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11th, we remember that the impact of that day didn't end when fires were extinguished or when the recovery efforts concluded. In the years since, hundreds of FDNY members have died from illnesses connected to their heroic work, and countless others continue to battle WTC-related diseases.

Each name added to our World Trade Center Memorial Wall represents a life of service, sacrifice and an enduring legacy within the FDNY.

Twenty-five years later, our promise remains unchanged. We will Never Forget.

2,977 lives taken.

For 25 years, two beams of light have risen above New York City each September 11, a powerful symbol of remembrance, honoring the Twin Towers and the nearly 3,000 people whose lives were lost.

This year, for the first time, the nation will be invited to witness Tribute in Light together.

On Friday, September 11, @ABC will present "9/11 Tribute in Light: Live from Lower Manhattan," in partnership with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. The special will air at 8 PM ET across @ABCNetwork, @Disneyplus, @Hulu, @NatGeo, and @ABCNewsLive.

The broadcast will feature live performances from @LaineyWilson and @JohnOndrasik of Five For Fighting at the base of the iconic beams, creating a shared moment of remembrance for audiences across the country.

Join us as the lights rise once again and as we come together, 25 years later, to remember, reflect, and honor the lives and legacy of September 11.

25 years on and my stomach still lurches when I see these videos.
You’ll see the second hijacked plane come into view on the right hand side of the screen, descend out of view behind the second tower, hit it, then explode on impact.
Those who are attempting to sell a different narrative about these events are doing so to drive their own political/ideological agendas.
We must not let them win.
The thousands of people who were massacred that day deserve recognition and justice in the shape of the truth.
Islamic terrorists hijacked those planes with martyrdom, the murder of as many “infidels” as possible and to bring terror to all Americans as their only motives.

Honour the victims and fallen heroes of 9/11 by telling the truth, no matter how ugly it is or how offended detractors of the events of that day pretend to be.

Remember, those who choose to deny/forget history are doomed to repeat it.
