“If you examine your life well, you will find many instances when God showed His unmistakable mercy to you.
Trouble was brewing, but it passed you by for some reason. God delivered you. Acknowledge these and thank God, Who loves you.”
- Saint Theophan the Recluse
Seven people were martyred and more than 35 injured when gunmen opened fire during a funeral at a church in Karak, Jordan.(October 23, 2026)
Lord Jesus Christ, receive our martyrs into Your eternal peace. Comfort their families, heal the wounded, and strengthen all those living in fear and grief. Protect our people and keep them steadfast in faith and love.
May their memory be eternal. Amen. ✝️
Papa Bento XVI: “Um católico será considerado culpado por cooperar com o mal e não poderá receber a Comunhão se votar em um candidato político que é a favor da eutanásia e/ou do aborto.”
CBC deliberately inverted the story
They opened with: “Israel has closed off the West Bank after Israeli soldiers shot and killed two Palestinians near Hebron.”
The actual sequence—that two armed men from Hebron drove up, got out of the car, and opened fire on the checkpoint, triggering a 20-minute gun battle in which the attackers were killed—was buried nearly two and a half minutes in. Only then did viewers learn about the large quantity of weapons and ammunition, Israeli officials saying the pair were planning a major attack on civilians, and Hamas praising the “high-impact operation” while calling for more violence.
BBC, CNN, The Washington Post, and The Times of Israel all led with the attack itself. CBC chose not to.
This is not neutral sequencing. Leading with the Israeli response while delaying the fact that the dead men initiated a terrorist attack is a classic framing choice that makes the aggressors look like victims—days before Israel’s election @brodiefenlon

Who has ascended to heaven and come down?
Who has gathered the wind in his fists?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his son’s name?
Surely you know!
- Proverbs 30:4
«No tengas miedo. No os conforméis con la mediocridad. Remad mar adentro y echad vuestras redes para pescar.
Te lo ruego: nunca, nunca renuncies a la esperanza, nunca dudes, nunca te canses y nunca te desanimes. No tengáis miedo».
- San Juan Pablo II
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified
who has spoken through the prophets.
“Live simply. Don’t overthink things. Pray to God, and the Lord will arrange everything. Don’t torment yourself with worries. Where there is simplicity, there are a hundred angels; where there is cleverness, there are none.”
St. Ambrose of Optina
Friends, I traveled today to the Planned Parenthood in Rochester to join a group of seminarians and lay people in praying for an end to abortion. Over the years, it has been edifying to join in prayer with 40 Days for Life and to see the progress being made to uphold the dignity of every human life. As I mentioned to our group today, we pray in our time, but the answers come in God's time. Please join me in continually petitioning the Lord to help us end the grave evil of abortion.
From everyone who has been given much, much will be required;
The greater the privilege, instruction, opportunity, and spiritual light received, the greater the responsibility to live faithfully before God.
How do you recognize a false prophet?
Very simple. 👀
He makes the message all about himself.
He positions himself at the center of attention.
He gets what he wants.
He demands loyalty to himself.
He seeks power, influence, wealth, or control.
He cannot tolerate his followers questioning him.
And eventually, everything points back to him rather than to God.
A true messenger points people away from himself and toward God.
Jesus said, “By their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:20
Don’t just listen to what a person claims about himself. Look at the fruit, the character, the message, and where that message ultimately leads people.
Good night 💤
