Finished our migration unit with 7O and 7G today. Amazed with how much they have retained about British migration. The first image is by 7O and the second by 7G. Well done all 🎉🥳
9N looked at the utility of primary sources today to learn about the conditions of Auschwitz. Well done all for approaching a sensitive topic so maturely!
Fantastic extra work from Isla in Y7 who looked at the Middle Passage and Max in Y8 who tested his knowledge on Nazi Germany/WW2, a topic we haven’t done yet but still gained a high score!! Great to see you both so passionate about History 🤩🥳 @TheOngarAcademy

World Book Day is Thursday 4th March🥳
I remember reading The Great Gatsby as a Y12 English Literature student and it opened so many doors of interest to me. Little did I know that one book would catalyse my future studies into both American and modern social History.
Today I received a piece of extra independent work by SS in Y9 who has written an essay on the Historical accuracy of the Disney film Anastasia and its portrayal of the Russian Revolution/Romanovs. Amazing to see such passion for History🤩 @TheOngarAcademy
Y7 have been assessing the historical concept of significance this week by looking at the different foreign invaders that contribute to British way of life. Here are a few examples from Y7, grasping the importance of Roman, Norman, Anglo Saxon & Viking influence. @TheOngarAcademy
Y7 & Y9 have been busy looking at source utility today. Sara & Madison in 7O looked at a source regarding Norman Control whilst Leo in 9N looked at the Battle of Britain. Hard skills to practice remotely but well done all 🥳@TheOngarAcademy

Great work being produced by 10D as we move on to our next topic: 'Conflict and Tension between the East and West 1945-1972'. Today we looked at key events in 1948 and I'm loving the quality of notes here from Leah. Well done 👏👏@TheOngarAcademy
