The man. The myth. The legend.

On what would have been his 65th birthday, we remember James Gandolfini, who will always be a defining figure in New Jersey culture.

Those who want respect, give respect. And he’ll always have ours.

Yesterday marked the 51st anniversary of one of the greatest albums in Rock History.

On September 12, 1975, Pink Floyd released “Wish You Were Here,” their 9th studio album, just two years after the monumental success of “The Dark Side of the Moon.” Roger Waters, the primary lyricist, decided to center the entire album on the concept of absence, a direct response to the emptiness the band felt in the wake of such sudden fame.

At the heart of the album was “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” a nine-part piece dedicated to Syd Barrett, the band’s founder who had been ousted from the group years earlier due to his mental decline.

The album reached number one in both the United Kingdom and the United States, and over time became David Gilmour and Richard Wright’s personal favorite among Pink Floyd’s entire discography.

Today, Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters turns 83.

After Syd Barrett left the band in 1968, Waters became Pink Floyd’s lyricist and conceptual mastermind. He wrote all the lyrics for The Dark Side of the Moon. He conceived Wish You Were Here as a tribute to Barrett and a critique of the music industry, and Animals as an Orwellian-style political fable.

I’m sorry to report that Big Puss actor Vincent Pastore has left us 😞

Season 2 is the overall fans favourite after thousands of votes. It would not have achieved that success without his great contribution. His role in the FBI informant storyline was played to perfection

RIP

Goodnight to the brilliant and beloved Catherine O’Hara, whose presence brought so much joy to our screens. ❤️

Here she is giving one of her scene-stealing performances as Gail, the Mister Softee vendor, in Martin Scorsese's AFTER HOURS (1985).
