@woody_cindy We are having a staff-wide egg hunt and breakfast potluck! Some eggs with have candy while others have papers with school supplies on them or small gift cards :) It's a lot of fun!
@wkrakower A6 I don't know if staying "ahead" of the curve should be the goal in all situations. Collaborating and learning from others to find the best options for your individual students is key (while being willing to monitor and adapt as needed)! #satchat
@TheBradCurrie A5 Our 3rd grade Social Studies content focuses heavily on cultures from around the world. Our tech coaches have been working hard to find schools from each continent for us to connect with to learn about their culture through skype! #satchat
@KEGrotrian @mr_hayes I agree-and also knowing what is developmentally appropriate for the grade-level you are working with! There are lots of tech options for K-5 students...but not every tech tool is right for every age group! #satchat
@mentorEmily A3 We are 1:1 with technology in grades 3-5 at my school. We have a district technology coach that spends the day at our school 1-2 times a week. They intro new technology and teach model lessons! They are trained at the district level. #satchat
@mentorEmily @ScottRRocco I feel as though the use of technology depends on whether or not it will enhance the lesson. For example, typing a paper about South America is ok, but using a Greenscreen app to create a "on location report" allows students to take that to another level! #satchat
@ScottRRocco @mentorEmily @TheBradCurrie A1: Finding ways to integrate technology in order to enhance a lesson and not just for the sake of being able to say you used it! #satchat
@ScottRRocco @mentorEmily @TheBradCurrie Good Morning Everyone! My name is Wimberly and I am from the middle Tennessee area. I am currently a 3rd grade STEM teacher. #satchat
@craigklement I would say (with upper elementary) to start slow and be consistent! Give students small projects to complete at the beginning and add on little steps at a time! #ditchbook
@Miss_Lievens This would be great in elementary as well. I teach science and being able to visualize more complex concepts is imperative for student success at that age! This would be great!

@craigklement I would love more info on how to make bitmoji stickers and other things similar to this-I have seen them mentioned but never attempted them myself! #ditchbook
@craigklement I've seen it used at the elementary level for students to categorize information (such as categorizing shapes based on their attributes). I've always wanted to use it to make stickers!! #ditchbook
