THREAD
Great conversations had today on our regular Hackney stall with many Narrow Way shoppers.
Divestment, boycotting Israeli produce, getting Palantir out of our NHS & trial of Filton24 were some of the issues discussed.
Blonde-haired, blue-eyed white people from Ukraine were celebrated for making home-made Molotov cocktails to defend their land, but the brown Arab Muslim, the Iranian, the Afghan, is far too “uncivilised” to have the right to resist. Their resistance is “barbaric” because it comes from an inherently “violent” culture.
The selective application of international law and one’s right to defend themselves from illegal occupation and colonial violence has been revealed to be a complete contradiction in the west, and is no doubt infuriating.
But we need to also understand how these “resistance” narratives are processed in communities.
These narratives do not stay on our screens. They shape how entire communities see themselves.
When Indigenous, Black, and other racialised peoples repeatedly see their histories, struggles, cultures, and resistance framed as dangerous, irrational, or inherently violent, many begin to internalise those messages.
Some distance themselves from their own identities in search of safety, acceptance, or legitimacy.
Others carry a deep, unspoken rage born from exclusion, dispossession, and the constant demand to prove their humanity.
When people are disconnected from their roots, denied dignity, and taught to be ashamed of where they come from, they will still search for belonging. It’s a basic human need to feel a sense of community.
The question is whether we create spaces that nurture healing, identity, and justice, or leave them vulnerable to finding belonging in places that exploit their pain.
Jewish Board of Deputies want to suppress British people's right to oppose a genocide. @BoardofDeputies
Why do they align themselves with genocidal colonial settlers instead of fellow citizens? How does this treachery help with aiding social cohesion? @ukhomeoffice
Judge Johnson led a shameless legal stitch up of four young people who refused to be bystanders to genocide.
We have written a formal letter of complaint about his biased and discriminatory conduct.

Talk about poetic justice.
@Martin_Abrams is a Jewish councillor who was suspended by Labour - because he opposed Israel’s genocide.
He defected to the Greens - and now he’s leader of Lambeth council.
The Labour briefcase set will be raging. Good!!
@benlucas94 Was also anything at all done about this or is there a hierarchy on hatred thats being applied. Far as i understand NO reply at all to this letter has been given to date not even an acknowledgement of the letter being received :-
Jas Singh, representing the Sikh Federation (UK) @SikhFedUK speaking at a press conference at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Smethwick @GNGSmethwick following the sentencing of Vickrum Digwa for 21 years for the murder of Henry Novak.
The Sikh community has unequivocally condemned in the strongest terms Vickrum Digwa for not only the murder of Henry Novak for which he is solely responsible, but also the lies he has told.
He made the wrong choice, should have pleaded guilty and must now serve his lengthy prison sentence.
The Filton 25 are a group of direct actionists who targeted Elbit Systems, Israel's largest weapons manufacturer, to stop the genocide in Gaza.
They were all acquitted of the most serious charge of aggravated burglary and were released from prison.
However, following the retrial of the first 6, four of them were remanded back into prison and are now facing sentencing on 12th of June with a possible terrorism connection.
This is the first time in UK history that pro-Palestine activists will be sentenced for terrorism.
📅 12th June
📍 Woolwich Crown Court
⏰ 10am–5pm
Join the mobilisation and show that direct action is not terrorism.
Write to court and demand that Judge Jeremy Johnson be removed from the case.

The 14 day countdown to the tribunal starts tomorrow.
On the 15th of June I will finally have my day in court and be able to be heard, something that was denied to me by the Trust all the way from ignoring my grievance to my efforts to engage via ACAS. This could all have been avoided had they spoken to me - they chose silence.
Witness statements will be exchanged tomorrow. I had not appreciated how difficult this was until it was time to put pen to paper. It is emotional but also somewhat cathartic.
In terms of funds - well they are exhausted and we are about £15000 short. This does not mean the case will not go ahead but it does mean fundraising will continue even when the hearing is over!
The aim is to win this with the best team possible. If you know anyone who still might want to contribute please forward the link to my page!
Thanks as always

The toll of conflict on civilians in Sudan has been devastating:
🔴 11,000+ civilians killed in 2025.
🔴 200+ attacks on healthcare since 2023.
🔴 13.5M displaced in and out of the country.
Protecting civilians in Sudan is a legal and moral obligation.

1/3: The antisemitism smears against Corbyn's Labour led some leftists to oppose talking about zionism. As the Greens approach a vote on their Zionism is Racism motion, similar positions will be put once again. It's important to oppose these and to assert that zionism is racism.
Work to be done!
We do not want Palantir contract renewed in Feb 27.
Let’s make a start with this public meeting in Hackney on 18th June from 6.30pm to 8pm.
The biggest obstacle to Greens at the council level are officers. You can and should overrule them and if they refuse to do their jobs adequately give them proper notice, severance, and replace them.
“Four young teenage boys were brought in, all of whom had been shot in the testicles.”
In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Nick Maynard, a British surgeon who has worked repeatedly in Gaza since 2010, describes a pattern of shootings at food distribution points where children were shot in specific body parts on different days.
“The pattern of injuries that we all witnessed was so striking, that it was it was clearly beyond coincidental, and it seemed to us that there was a game of target practice.”
He also details quadcopters hovering over tents and spraying bullets indiscriminately, and recounts the death of six neonates left in incubators at Al-Nasr pediatric hospital after Israeli forces evacuated the hospital and left them to rot.
'Their genitals were repeatedly attacked. Specifically. They were electrocuted through their genitals.'
— British surgeon Professor @maynard_nick, describing to Tucker Carlson the systemic kidnapping, torture, and rape of Palestinian medics by 'israel'.
‘Why would you not want to say the truth?’
Former Arsenal kitman Mark Bonnick was fired in December 2024 by the football club over online posts opposing Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
He’s now suing the club for unfair dismissal.
