Hello? Is anybody still following us? Since we used this account, we have moved, we have many more (and better)tools, and we have over 250 members. We do open house on first and third Thursday nights at 7.
Another Thursday open house tonight, about 7 to 9. Come for a visit, a tour, or just some geeky conversation. We will have the laser cutter running, and we will be making things on the Ultimaker 3.
Just a thought, fellow geeks: When we remove a program, we often say we "uninstalled". But shouldn't we say "exstalled"? "Uninstalled" should mean it was never installed.
The NSA has released Ghidra, a de-compiler. It can take apart programs, and let you see and analyze the code in something like human-readable form, depending of course on the human reading it. We trust you will use it for good. https://t.co/h5fqotHjxi
Open Craft Night is back! This is our night of shared making in a less technological, more traditional way, including fabric, paper, painting, etc. We are a friendly, non-judgemental group. Come hang out with us. https://t.co/hH4LM5GQB1
Open Code night is Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30. It is not a class, just a time for programmers to hang out, share knowledge, and maybe find a missing semicolon. Want to get started? We suggest https://t.co/efSoge4inq.
A clock run by a Pi using servos to move the segments. I bet it sounds cool too, without the cute music of the video. 3D print the frame, laser cut the segments. https://t.co/qfOiDfwLsU
Starting a new space is tricky. Finding a cheap enough location is one of the problems. If any of you are in Petersburg, this building might be an option. The folks at Hack.RVA would be happy to help with advice. https://t.co/uWLT2Pb5NV
