Disappointing news.
1. There is decent data to support #COVID19 vaccine boosters for select populations (e.g. immunocompromised) but it's a stretch to extend this to everyone.
2. Billions in low/middle income countries are waiting for 1st doses while getting throttled by Delta.
Unless you have a 70% chance of surviving your intubation/resuscitation and ICU care you will be allowed to die.
This is coming from Critical Care Services Ontario in the days ahead.
We've all been put on notice.
I don’t think people are quite getting how significantly the arrival of the P1 variant has changed the game in Brazil, signaling a much darker phase of the pandemic, and what this means for the world.
“Doctors and nurses are declining the vaccine” is exactly the message anti-vaxxers want you to hear.
Retweet if you’re a healthcare worker who’s already been vaccinated or is eagerly awaiting vaccination.

I was taking care of a patient the other day who was very seriously injured. And I stepped out to talk to his family briefly and give them an update. For context, he was Black. I told them what was going on quickly and asked if they had any questions. And this is what they said.
