A second look the new "Top Notch" charging handle for the AR15.

Quick clarification first: The "Top Notch" is made by a company called "Saraid". While I helped them bring the idea to market, it's not a Haga Defense product. ( On Instagram @sorin.saraid )

A bunch of you asked to see what the Top Notch would look like on a setup with a red dot so I put together a new photoset for you. Swipe left to check it out.

And no, it doesn’t work as a rear iron sight. The handle doesn't stand tall enough to align with or interfere with iron sights or low mounted optics.

A lot of people are into this. Everyone else can keep calling it a solution looking for a problem.

It’s here — the Saraid Top Notch AR15 Charging Handle just dropped!

The first vertical charging handle for the AR-15 platform is officially live. By moving the handle to the top, it cuts down on gear snags, keeps things cleaner around optics and slings, stabs you less when the rifle is slung across your body, and gives you a more streamlined setup without the usual side protrusions.

We know change can hurt some feelings in the AR world… but this one was built to solve real issues a lot of people actually deal with and have requested.

Years ago I built this prototype M-LOK handguard for a customer to bring a little modern versatility to this classic shotgun. It never made it to production, but I’ve been getting messages about it for years from folks who saw it and wanted one for their own A5.
