Can we talk? First of all, I'm EXHAUSTED. To have ANY sort of chance at success in today's Music world, you HAVE TO play the game. But the game has changed. Back in the day, it was releasing music, going on tour, visiting Record Stores, doing interviews & Press etc... I LOVED IT! I miss it. Now, it's CONTENT CREATION. A never ending barrage of "try this", "do this" short form videos, or photo shares. All while making sure you follow the rules! NO text on your photo! NO external links in the text of your post(s)! What hashtags work? Do we use hashtags at all? Then, you check the numbers to see if all your hard work is actually paying off. Are the Spotify numbers good? Are we seeing a solid "click through rate"? How many "shares" did you get? DEAR SWEET BABY JESUS! 🤣
I'm not complaining (ok, maybe a little 😉) but it's just SO DIFFERENT. I'm struggling to keep up. Not because it's difficult to actually do, but because it's damn near impossible to find the time to do it ALL... and be a dad. Which will, of course, forever be my priority.
I'm not going to be one of those "older" artists who refuses to adapt to this new version of the music biz. Why? Because I want to be successful! Haha. I REALLY don't understand the, "I'm not doing that" attitude. Haven't we always had to play the game? It's just a different version of what we've always had to do... which is, HUSTLE.
I'm finding my feet, and figuring out ways to bridge the "not enough time" gap. I'm actually really proud of myself for having light-bulb moments like "why don't I just put a camera in my car?".
Truth is, whatever I'm doing: IT'S WORKING! Which feels amazing. "Dreaming Screaming" is doing amazing things, and I LOVE hearing it on the Radio here in America. The album preorders are going so well that the UK stores had to reorder! How great is that??? I don't know if I'll finally get that #1 UK album... but I think I'm going to have a really solid, respectable result. Mostly thanks to those ridiculous Map Videos, right?😉😂
I guess maybe I wish I was wired a little differently. Because even though I'm figuring it out, and making it work, I still have this "I'm behind! I should be doing more!" feeling. Are you that way? It's a frustrating way to be, isn't it? Haha. But, I guess it's better than being the opposite.
I should probably stop obsessing over things like the Spotify numbers (which, by the way are SO CLOSE to tipping the scales), but I can't hep myself! Ugh.🤦🏻‍♂️😂
I know I'm doing everything I can, which I will continue to do... and let me just say: THANK YOU to all of you for your support, and for such a wonderful response to the new music. Everything that's happening, and that is going to happen, is because we're doing it together. Love you all. I really do.

I need your help. My studio flooded here in Texas.
It's my livelihood. Not just for me, but for my 2yr old daughter. I'm in a state of shock, and panic. I hate asking for help... it feels embarrassing. But I don't know what else to do.
