I interviewed w/a company thats now undergoing organizational change. The hierarchical structure is changing&adding more positions and room for growth within. It will be cool to see how things are changing, how staff adapts and what opportinities come from that change #mavorg

After reading the Semco case I've reflected on how beneficial flexible work hours are. Even if there are scheduled hours, having flexibility to just stay home when sick could save people from financial hardship and give them more security that later benefits the company #MAVORG

For a project in another class we were to find a reasonable merot raise by percentage to help with inflation costs. Everyone argued that inflation is going down, but all I see are predictions of higher jumps&watch the numbers rise. The 20's seem to be the depression era #mavorg

The implementation of AI has been something we've discussed and read in our book. We think that our creativity and critical thinking can't be replaced by machines but this may be the new norm for more positions than we thought #mavorg

I had a guest speaker in another class that mentioned the pressure of Wall Street for the company to continue increasing revenue had them not raise merit increases as much as expected. I wanted to mention the Costco model&how they didn't HAVE to follow that narrative #mavorg

This chapter has talked about large and small companies and I've worked for both. I think I enjoy working for smaller companies because of the culture& smoother operations, but large companies do offer better benefits bc they can afford it which is important now as a mom #mavorg
