That has now definitely changed in developed nations.
Other Trisomies are literally incompatible with life and are also terminated to reduce harm to the mother.

If you are harming a child in any of the four categories of child abuse, and even with support you fail to show you can safely look after that child, it is the duty of the state to put that child into care. Whether that is foster care or adoption.
