@JBlunt1018 2. Serbia’s leader fell after mass protests, corruption scandals, and public outrage. Fit the rest of the world, populism persists where institutions remain weaker, opposition is divided, and voters still see populist leaders as solutions, not problems.
@JBlunt1018 1. Populist movements don’t end with one leader’s defeat. They fade when promises fail, divisions grow, scandals erode trust, or institutions reassert themselves. Defeating a leader is one event; changing the conditions that fuel the movement is the long-term challenge.
@EricMGarcia@PabloReports@ChazNuttycombe Looks like polls have simply turned into a item to give the media to discuss ad nauseam but that are completely unreliable as an indicator of really anything

@MattArchambeau1 Doesn’t look like they were going out w/violent intent. The first officer gave her the command to stop, she didn’t and stuck a vehicle in reverse, then instead of accepting the consequences, she drove right at the cops. Maybe we would be better if we didn’t do the things she did
@ReichlinMelnick@MattArchambeau1 3. I think that is a reasonable middle ground and it won’t result in a underclass of people who are mistreated because they have the ability to work and not be removed just like everyone else
@ReichlinMelnick@MattArchambeau1 2. The only change to the INA that Americans should support for the categories of people you want to receive amnesty should be a temporary and renewable resident status that does not lead to being an LPR or citizenship.
@ReichlinMelnick@MattArchambeau1 Perhaps you missed the some of the criteria including visa overstays or violated non-immigrant status or condition of entry, present in violation of the law (all EWIs). That pretty much covers anyone who is here without status. So is your position they may be lawfully removed
@ReichlinMelnick Slight oversight on your part. The discretion is not yours it belongs to DHS and lucky for us your opinion of what warrants removal is not controlling. If it was up to you all could stay if they weren’t convicted, dangerous, and violent criminals. But keep trying I’m here all day
@totallynotabird@ReichlinMelnick Yes and the left freaked out as if we were back in plantation times and the officer was using the horse reins to whip the Haitians 🙄as if that one event had anything to do with Biden’s let as many in as possible strategy
@MattArchambeau1 I think you mean look at this person who presented the facts illustrating why the tragic event occurred. But since it doesn’t fit your preferred narrative you try to demean them
@breakfastguy32@ReichlinMelnick And yet, only one of those categories has a right to live in this country under the laws enacted by Congress. No amount of advocacy can alter that.
@GetRyback92@ReichlinMelnick Whose discretion? It ain’t his, yours, or mine. It belongs to the executive branch and they are exercising it as they see fit
@BryanS3586@ReichlinMelnick The legitimate enforcement priority is whatever the president sets it at. Based on that your question is answered. A lot of people may not like or understand it but that’s what elections are for
@ReichlinMelnick Engage young man! If you’re so correct in your opinions, defend them. You thought you could sub tweet me with a supposed dunk, but I pulled a Dikembe Mutombo on your ass and I’m waving my big ass finger directly in your face. So respond
