The game scales assuming you are engaging in side content, and will punish you with even regular enemies dealing one shot kills like you're in Lethal.

Assassin's Creed Shadows was such an innovative project for Ubisoft... it enhanced the Anvil Engine to great lengths & gave us a beautiful, lived in world.

Its story only works with the 2 characters that lead it. It's sad that most of its criticism came from people who just couldn't fathom playing a factual, historical character that elevated the narrative the game offered.

Alas, Shadows will be remembered for its ingenuity and guts to defy the norm & shoot for a story that entangled a shinobi & a Samurai to a great adventure.

But if it's to do with Kratos dealing with his emotions and guilt, that's something that he's been constantly dealing with for every game he's been in.
