Base44's own docs say exported code "still relies on Base44 to run", and self-hosting isn't supported.
Fine for an internal tool. Worth deciding on purpose for software your business depends on.
Our comparison with Halfcycle, including where Base44 is the better pick.
@0xbelial Good split. One gap: the plan still gets signed off by the model that wrote it, and it can't see what it didn't think of. npx halfcycle sends every plan to a reviewer that didn't write it, and asks you the open decisions, before any code is typed.
@Sojib0xAR Getting builders to try Halfcycle. It turns Claude Code into a whole team, so you answer a few questions up front instead of fixing the agent's guesses later. One line to try it: npx halfcycle
@DEVIN__SETH Halfcycle: the software team your AI engineer was missing. It runs inside Claude Code, asks the open decisions before any code, then has agents that didn't write the work review it.

@SakshiML_20@X Building Halfcycle. Your coding agent writes the code; Halfcycle adds the product owner, architect, planner and reviewers it was missing, inside Claude Code. Would love builders to try it on a real repo: npx halfcycle
@tirthaexe Point 2 is the one. Refunds, retries and reconciliation are decisions, not code, and an agent fills them with a quiet default you find out about later. npx halfcycle puts those questions to you before a line is written, so your domain knowledge lands where it counts.
@techNmak A map tells the agent what a change touches. It still doesn't tell it which of those is a decision nobody has made yet. npx halfcycle asks those before the code is written, then a reviewer that didn't write it checks the result.
@techNmak Great curriculum. Worth knowing before lecture 1: 14 lectures and 8 projects in, you have a harness, not a team. If you'd rather skip to building, npx halfcycle gives Claude Code a planner, reviewers and builders that already work together.
@undefinedKi A prompt asking the agent to list what it skipped is still the agent marking its own homework. A fresh reviewer that didn't do the work is harder to fool. npx halfcycle builds that in, so there's no prompt to maintain. Run it on your next review and compare.
@plusxbt The audit catches rules that contradict each other. It can't catch the decision that was never written down, and the agent fills that gap with a default every session. npx halfcycle asks those before code and keeps them on record. Run the audit, then run that.
