Very grim day at Mukuru wa Njenga as 100+ people looked on at dumpsite where several mutilated female bodies were found. People were visibly disturbed. Comes amid heightened concern about abductions and disappearances. Pressure is on for DCI and IPOA to investigate. #Kenya

Sports CS Ababu Namwamba directs NOCK to publicise names of Kenyan delegation to 2024 Paris Olympics following sustained pressure online; says priority is athletes, coaches and medics.
Unprecedented times. After weeks of protests and increased scrutiny on gov’t excess, #Kenya’s President dissolves almost all of his cabinet after appraising their performance. He also pledged to “slay the dragon of corruption.” Kenyans are watching #GenZ
The Public Interest Litigation advocates from @LawSocietyofKe & @lsk_nbi, has obtained Orders of Habeas Corpus!! Any persons being held in incommunicado ought to be released & a stern warning, no abductions shall be undertaken by @DCI_Kenya, @IG_NPS, or @NPSOfficial_KE
President Ruto: I put on notice the planners, financiers, abettors & orchestrators of violence and anarchy, that the security infrastructure will be deployed to secure the country and restore normalcy. We must isolate crime from those expressing freedom of expression

@ernestnyerere@NthiaNadia@Shad_khalif#Aluta continua!!!!
In Nairobi’s Central Business District, thousands of peaceful protestors demonstrate against #RejectFinanceBill2024. Tear gas fills in the air as security forces throw canisters left and right. But people are undeterred. I’ve covered many demos in Kenya but this is unprecedented
Good afternoon, friends. Yesterday evening, another innocent young Kenyan fell victim to the draconion tactics of rogue police officers. Shadrack Kiprono was violently abducted by unidentified persons believed to be intelligence officers in South B while getting into his vehicle.
The abduction, which was captured on CCTV footage, shows 3 men in masks descend upon @Shad_khalif and force him into a white Land Cruiser. Evidently, this was not an arrest as the police did not identify themselves or engage in any conversation prior to the arrest to inform him of his rights. These criminals pretending to exercise police authority must be stopped.
We condemn the sustained unconstitutionalities and atrocities being perpetrated by the police, and demand the immediate release of Shad. The @LawSocietyofKe is all hands on deck to find Shad's whereabouts and identify the criminal faction of the Police carrying out these abductions.
