@God_Questioner While the accuracy of the Bible accounts is debatable, there are early non-Christian historians (Jewish and Roman) who report the existence of Jesus as a historical figure on whom the Christian story is based.
@iamAtheistGirl Your point about acting "like they're fresh out of the swamp" is a good one. That's a consequence of inventing a form of religion that forgets how stories work, how they convey ideas.
@iamAtheistGirl Actually, biblical literalism is largely a product of the 19th century. Before that, people--including Bible scholars--understood stories that weren't meant to be taken literally.
@AmericanEthical I personally ranked his first term as our worst head of state since King George III, and his second term is much worse than his first, so I think they got it right.
