Sheffield Hallam students who believe that people come before ££
SHU students who believe that non-essential F2F sessions are putting profit before health.
We are back and we are angry, despite Sheffield being declared a Tier 2 HIGH-risk city, the students of SHU have just received confirmation that nothing is changing and the management would still put human life at risk than move teaching online!
Another email from Hallam the gyms are closing, we have questions.. if these decisions are because of the new national lockdown as you keep telling us, why have they taken this long to make, and why on Sunday did the email you send seem as if nothing was changing..
@UCUHallam They have no way of knowing that! And there is no denying that if the university had listened to the wishes of staff and students and kept on campus teaching only for those who could not work online, labs, practicals etc the risk for all on campus would have been greatly reduced
We too are deeply saddened to hear this news and as a student community wish to offer our heart felt condolences to the family and loved ones of our fellow Hallam Ranger 💔
The time for recriminations will come, that time is not now
We have all been deeply saddened by the news that we lost a colleague who passed away after contracting Covid19.
Our heartfelt condolences go to their family, friends and workmates.
Please look after each other. Keep your distance, cover your face and stay safe. #noF2F
Return to F2F teaching as early as next week?https://t.co/nege7AMUku
" can’t lie, I am stupidly worried. But I don’t really have a choice so head down, mask and visor on and let’s go."
said by a staff member about the planned return!
it's not ok! #PeopleBeforeProfit
... we need to protect ourselves, our loved ones and our amazing staff by staying home and demanding DECENT online content and a reduction in our tuition fees!
#PeopleBeforeProfit
We have received information that some staff on non-practical courses have been told to return to f2f teaching from next week! we are still a tier 3 city, the university wont protect us...

If you're a #SHU student or staff member with a story get in touch.
If @sheffhallamuni continue to put prioritise profits we may also need @HallamStrike to convince them to do the right thing
🏫Teaching activities on campus: Importantly, restrictions on meeting indoors and the Rule of Six don’t apply to teaching. So do continue to participate in your studies and attend campus in line with your timetable. (2/7)
Stories of the #SHUTracingSystem: A student had a practical session on 2nd a student present tested positive on 4th students in the session were advised on the 9th, that's 5 days students from that lab session should have been isolating and were not.
It's not good enough!
