@Sapsterr_ Well if the team does well they both make money. So invest in the team and make money and build a winner. We are the only team in the league without a practice facility and proper resources. They are not serious about winning.
@Hockey2L Not surprised at all by this just an absolute joke. This organization can’t get out of its own way. Stupid to do that and why would any outside candidate in high demand ever want to interview with the Canucks at any position.
@DomSramaty Yeah I don’t think that’s what actually happened based on some Toronto based reporting. If Toronto based reporting says that there was a lack of funds to make Gold and his team work then I would probably say that’s what actually happened. Happy for the Twins and Ryan though.
@brookwardsports That’s exactly what happened. A part from the Sedins exercising there right as POHO’s to pick there GM. That’s the spin the organization will put on it. The real reason is money.
@DomSramaty I disagree @DomSramaty this is more disorganized and is consistent with poor process than a good process. If it comes down to money and resources for Gold it’s the same reason why Winnipeg has a practice facility and we do not. I love RJ and the Twins but this is not good proces
@nucks0 I wouldn’t say that’s true he has been making lemonade out of lemons, but until value for asset trades happen it’s more of the same. RJ being the hire means ownership is not serious.
@al_powell57674@CanucksArmy As of yesterday it was Gold, then not Gold. “Breaking down durning negotiating” usually means either money or reporting structure. If the club was serious about a quality candidate neither would be an issue. Basically telling Johnson that he is plan b is horrible practice
@al_powell57674@CanucksArmy I hear you but my point is why search if he earned it to the point where it was undeniable they would have moved him up during the season before the deadline. The fact that this comes down to money and resources means they are not serious in a proper rebuild.
@taj1944 The fact that they should’ve have just let him pursue the preds job is infuriating. They can’t get out of their own way. Gold is the better hire for the rebuild. You watch the opening presser will be “there not far off”. “Peterson is really working hard” just brutal decisions
@CanucksArmy Evan Gold need someone who is objective to the players to help ascertain the value that we can get from trades going forward.
Not someone who may be trying for a draft strategy around resurrecting EP40.
@CanucksArmy This post is almost two years old. There is no bounce back for this player at all and I dread him showing Caleb Malhotra how to be a pro. He needs to be gone before the start of the season or this organization is not serious about fixing culture
@taj1944@ThomasDrance I think it would criminal to settle
On RJ if Gold and Peterson are available. I worry about RJ’s negotiating trades for value creation. I want someone who is so far away from the current situation and has no ties to any of the players.
@CanucksArmy We need to stop this! Best player available with the most upside every pick. We do not need the Ruck Twins. Are they good yes, but to plan a late first round draft strategy around drafting them is not what the Canucks should do
