#Jumbo is such an iconic part of #Colchester that it surely deserves all our support. It wasn't very popular when it first appeared but with time we've learned to love it.
It's still on the #HeritageAtRisk Register but things are looking up.
It's future still isn't guaranteed!
Halstead will be well represented at this year's event with Colne Valley Postal Museum, Halstead & District Local History Society and Museum, Halstead 21st Century Group and Adrian Corder-Birch exhibiting.

Free to a good home! The Public Arts Trust saved this Keith McCarter concrete sculpture from the Ordnance Survey a number of years ago but we cannot find a suitable location for it in MK. It measures 12.4 x6.3m and comes in six pieces. Contact me if interested - please retweet

For the second year running, Year 3 pupils at Gt. Bradford Junior School have created some wonderful Save Our Shelter posters for an outdoor pop-up gallery on Factory Lane East Halstead. All to celebrate the town's rare group of industrial air raid shelters.
Imagine walking into Tesco for your weekly shop and finding row after row of nice, tidy, low maintenance shelves but without the food. You and your kids would starve. That's how Bees, Birds, Hedgehogs etc feel when they visit your plastic garden #TimeForTurf#DontBeAnEmptyTescos
