At a lot of our schools, the programs are run by students.
They collect the bins, deliver them classroom to classroom, restock them throughout the day, and hand the routine to the next group when they graduate.

Halton Food for Thought started with parents.
In 1997, they noticed not every child had food in their lunch box and started six programs themselves.
Twenty-nine years later: 163 schools, 96,876 students a day.

Today, we join our friends at @HaltonLearnFDN and @HaltonFFT to celebrate National Child Day. On this day, we recognize the rights, voices, and potential of every child.
Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, included, and supported in their classrooms, in their homes, and in their community. When we work together, we create a stronger, more caring Halton where every student can thrive.
Happy National Child Day!
