Visiting KOCUN was an eye-opener into the stories of struggles and successes of Vietnamese women and their children, who come back to Vietnam following failed arranged marriages with Korean men. Such strength and resilience #UonLawVietnam

Visiting Can Tho University today, seeing their campus, library and learning about the legal system and the experiences of law students here #UonLawVietnam

At HCM City University of Law, Dr Duy Le’s talk was insightful. We learnt about: civil law vs common law systems; inquisitorial vs adversarial; and the principle of centralisation vs separation of powers #UoNLawVietnam

Arrived yesterday in Saigon, with enough time to watch the NRL grand final in an Aussie themed bar, shop some local, handmade, artisan goods and take in the view from Sky Bar #UoNLawVietnam

Our “rest day” turned into a 20km bike ride! So interesting to ride around rural Hoi An, seeing local rice paper making, boat building and weaving along the way #UoNLawVietnam

On the bus from Hanoi to Hoi An, I learnt how to play the ruthless, cut-throat game “Mafia” whereby one person “kills off” other friends and tries to not incriminate themselves as the killer, while the rest try to figure out who the murderer is! #UoNLawVietnam

A sweltering 36 degrees did not stop us from visiting the Imperial Palace and tombs in Hue, but quite a few bottles of water were required (make sure they have a nice “cracking” sound on opening or they could be fake refilled bottles!) #UONLAWVIETNAM
