We’re working to get our operations back on track today at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air after a significant IT outage Sunday night resulted in a system-wide ground stop of flights. We appreciate the patience of our guests whose travel plans have been disrupted. We’re working to get them to their destinations as quickly as we can. International travelers should give themselves extra time if coming to SEA. Some of our airline partners are currently providing manual bag tags and boarding passes.

The flySEA app is available to travelers who downloaded it prior to the start of the outage (Aug. 24). No updates are being made, but the map is still accessible and can be used to navigate the airport.

Update - We are making progress on restoring the previously impacted elements of the baggage system. Multiple teams have implemented and are using a variety of methods to ensure bags reach their aircraft. Travelers should continue to pack carry-on luggage if possible.
