After graduation next month, Hamilton High School senior Bryce Ostrom is taking his talents to Black Hawk College East Campus Livestock Judging Team in Illinois on a full-ride scholarship for livestock judging—joining one of the top junior college judging programs in the country.

Hamilton 8th graders stepped back in time this week in Mr. Houghton’s Civil War unit.

Students assembled to a bugle call, made and tasted hardtack like soldiers, and wrote letters from a soldier’s perspective—bringing history to life through hands-on learning. 🇺🇸🖤💛

For Bryce Morrison, winning a state championship wasn’t just a goal — it was a dream he’s been chasing for years.

With the victory, he becomes just the fifth state champion in Hamilton wrestling history.

Congratulations to HHS senior Michael Klomparens, the Michigan DECA State Champion in Personal Financial Literacy! 🏆

Michael is now an International Qualifier and will compete against 10,000+ of the world’s top DECA students at the conference in Atlanta this April. 🌎

Bryce captured the State Championship at 150 pounds. With the win, Bryce becomes just the fifth state champion in Hamilton wrestling history, joining Gregg Stoel, Mike Oetman, Andy Cook, and Malachi Kapenga (2023).
