I call this the "Bayonetta Effect". The left will call something "problematic" because it's "sexist" or "fascist" or whatever, but when that fails to stop its cultural momentum, they switch to trying to claim it. Suddenly, "it was always woke".

There are two groups of people upset at Stellar Blade: Blood Rain's new protagonist's design.
The LGBTQIA+ alphabet mafia, and the Antis.

Tomboys have practically disappeared in the West, when they were far more common in the 80's and 90's. A lot of them were "reformed" into lesbians or transsexuals in the West. "Youthful" is seen as a patriarchal ageist and anti-progress anathema for many of the modern feminists.

Evie is basically peak unapologetic femininity... where she is cute, petite, deadly, and designed to be appealing. That is basically hate speech, according to the alphabet mafia.

The Antis are also overly preoccupied with depictions of youth and young characters, and "pedobait" in anything that isn't a 35 year old foid... They hate Evie's depiction as well, as they see a "child" in the face of a youthful adult asian face.

This "style" is very common in East Asia, and it shows up frequently in K-pop, asian dramas, or even on just random asian instagram profiles. Combined with the reality that asians age more slowly, a lot of ignorant Westerners end up having a freakout when they see a youthful depiction of a asian face.

The design is obviously popular.

Just even a surface-level search, and there are tons of cosplays and R34 art that have exploded on the internet.

Britain is no longer a democracy. A UK woman claims she was repeatedly harassed outside her own home by a group of migrants. Despite multiple complaints, police allegedly took no action.

When she threatened to go to the media, officers reportedly warned her she could be arrested for “inciting racial hatred.”

The situation worsened when a man who helped expose the case was reportedly arrested and handcuffed. This is classic two-tier policing, protecting the perpetrators while silencing British citizens.
