The lack of any post-match for Fox’s World Cup coverage sucks.
Canada/Qatar ends on FS1 & the broadcast literally ends ten seconds after the final whistle. We’re then told to switch over to Fox…where they’re showing James Corden clips.
A big moment for Canada just gets shoved.
It's starting to rain in San Diego in June, one of the sunniest and dryest summer climates ... because NASCAR is in town

Its just a heavy mist but still ...
The World Cup has been great so far, and FIFA is selling a lot of tickets. The cynicism about a 48-team format wasn't really warranted.
However, it does create some awkwardness, with group-stage games being low-stakes and a weird bracket. The solution? Expand to 64.

Just look at the teams who regularly pick in the top 5 in the NFL, or in MLB or the NBA. Rev shares guarantee profitability. Team valuations only ever go up.
Players and coaches fight hard because they want to keep their job, but some owners aren't really incentivized to invest because they make money no matter what.
Overseas, the threat of relegation ensures competitiveness because there is room for the people with the checkbook to actually be embarassed.
If you failed to get anything out of Cape Verde holding Spain to a 0-0 with a 40-year-old keeper having the game of his life against the odds, simply because it ended in a draw, I’m not sure sport in general is for you.
@moooooot00@DrBind@FOXSoccer@FOXSports@AlexiLalas Plant? Seriously though, I’m not a fan of the extended stoppages in those games either, but the rules are written for stoppages of the clock. Rules that, to some extent, were in place before television got involved. Football also has more than 60 minutes of play…
