@GreenHellGame Please add a Performance Mode to the PS5 version of Green Hell - it's a massive downgrade to fall back to low frame rates when the PS4 app playing on PS5 is smooth and responsive. Thank you! 🔥

@HDMOVIESOURCE@ParamountPics Arrow's standard Blu-ray Django looks better than most digitally shot movies on 4K, regardless of bit-rate. But I'm not advocating for low bit-rates, I'm saying there are other factors in picture quality that have greater impact, such as a good 35mm source rather than digital.
@HDMOVIESOURCE@ParamountPics There's no data I'm aware of that says film grain material requires 30 Mbps more bit-rate than movies free of grain. There are clearly a lot of variables that determine best image quality here - the source material - free of egregious digital filtering being the most important.
@dark1x@Kirby0Louise@stikves LG tuned C1 BFI to have less flicker than CX BFI - and lots of users prefer C1 BFI for that reason. C2 BFI really is a step down, unfortunately.
@eggdaddy@_LarZen_ Not correct. It's 12-bit - but it drops to 4:2:2 using chroma subsampling. Xbox is the reverse and only does 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 in 60hz whereas 120hz is 4:4:4
@dark1x @halo_mid_ @darrenhupke @Dachsjaeger It's unfortunate because Sony does a far better job than Samsung with local dimming in Game mode. VRR is new for Sony though, maybe their X95K Mini-LED with the return of the Backlight Master Drive can combine VRR and local dimming effectively?
@dark1x @retrofpga @RodrigoGroverA @dave_fpg Still, VRR definitely smooths out Elden Ring on the faster loading PS5 - and I haven't seen a hint of VRR flicker on my LG C1.
@Ethes175 @LeonPlays1708@dark1x BFI on the C1 was tuned to have less flicker than the CX's, however. Lots of people prefer C1 BFI. Sony needs to provide an On/Off option for ALLM in PS5.
