Behind me is the Gateway project, a $16 billion effort to build a new rail tunnel across the Hudson. It's the most important infrastructure project in the country, vital to the economy of New York and the rest of the northeastern U.S..

The work will stop today—with thousands of jobs lost—because Donald Trump *illegally* cut off the funding.

Why?  Because he wants *Penn Station* (and Dulles Airport) to be named after *him*. 

So the fight against Trumpism is both about democracy and our economic well-being.  It’s *one* fight.

It’s either Trump or us.  We can’t go on with him another three years.

Many young people - including the voters who elected Mamdani in NYC - are turning to socialism. Contrary to popular belief: the ones I have talked to aren’t rejecting capitalism out of laziness or entitlement.

They’ve done exactly what the system asked of them: college degrees, full-time jobs and even side hustles. Yet they still find economic progress -- or even financial stability -- out of reach. Wages lag, housing is unattainable, debt is burdensome and the promise that hard work leads to security keeps breaking. That isn’t apathy; it’s exhaustion with an economic model that is failing them.
