@VinDePlume Yes, downstairs is empty of bottles. Clearing out the office today
Most of the works will be in The Dungeon, which is under the pavement & the road.
Whenever it rains the water trickles in. There's one bit where the old coal shoot would have been, well, that's more like a stream
The Handford Tasting Room like you've never seen it before. We've moved over 2,000 bottles and now it's all packed up, ready for the builders.
Should be back in action in 8 weeks !
@JancisRobinson@timatkin@jamiegoode@nealmartin@Will_Lyons@PlanetVictoria@littlebedwyn We usually have over 2,000 bottles downstairs but they've all got to be moved out of the cellar so that it's clear for the builders. None of us want to pack up 2,000 loose bottles and send them back to the warehouse.
It's your chance to help us out and get a hefty discount
Our Refurb Clearance Sale is now on ! !

We were fans of the Rutherford Hill wines when their winemaker Michael Coode popped in the other week.
Looks like we weren't the only ones ....

The 2020 Burgundy vintage got a little lost in the chaos of the pandemic which was a pity. It was a good vintage and, for the mid-range wines, starting to drink really well. We've got four delicious red burgs which really show how good the 'lost' vintage was! Yours for ยฃ149.99
If you would like to try some 2019 Brunello or 2018 Brunello Riservas then we have a few bottles open in the shop. Pop along this evening before we close at 8.30

We're doing a pinot noir blind tasting tonight. Throwing in @gusbourne 2010. It's a touch lighter than the others. Doubt anyone's going to guess it's an English wine that's 13 years old.

Prepping for tonight's Taste South Africa event in the cellar. Starts 4pm. The lucky ones that have booked their tickets get to taste all these wines.

We did really well, we hardly mentioned the rugby.
Was a pleasure to have him in.
And good wines. The Bakleiblok Cinsault was showing particularly well. Looking forward to getting that on the shelves.
Prepping for our 2022 Bordeaux En Primeur tasting tomorrow.
Demand will be bigger than supply for the blue chip chateaux and these will be allocated. Request forms must be in by midnight 20th June.

@robertjoseph At least it's got a label.
We had a delivery from a producer who must have had a temp doing the labels. The temp had cunningly managed to half their workload by only labelling the bottles in the top half of the box.
